These are much better then the aluminum plates I had. I treated them as new cast iron. Before use I seasoned them by oiling them and putting them in the oven. When I did use them they cleaned up very well. I am very happy with these plates.

Not sure what others mean about "color coming off" - I think that must mean they don't know how to use cast iron, if they did, wouldn't be an issue. Good product at a good price.

The cast iron plates and fork are great. The wooden holders are not as shown. They are stained a dark brown, look cheaper, and one had places where the finish was scratched off. And it was dusty. Weird.

perfect size for my go to NY Strip steaks! Use these to prevent charring in very hot grills. My pizza oven gets to 700 degrees and my small portable grill gets to 600 degrees. Once hot I do 2 minutes per side to sear then turn heat down to 400 degrees for another 5 minutes for perfect medium rare finish.

I love them.. the skillets kept my fajitas really warm.. and they are easy to clean and heat up very fast and stay hot for the duration of your meal.
