Really helpful for foot problems. You may need to replace after using for a couple of weeks.

What a relief!
I am a dancer and have sesamoiditis. My podiatrist made some contraption from foam and bandages for me to wear so that I would take pressure off of the sesamoids. While it was effective in doing so, it wasn't very practical because I couldn't wear it inside my dance shoes. Additionally, it got dirty and sweaty (eew). I ordered various products (Sesamoid Relief Sleeve, Dr. Jill's and Pedi-Gel). The Relief Sleeve was too thin and didn't fit right. Dr. Jill's is a little too thick and the gel pad is smooth (no traction). The pedi-gel goes on perfectly and has traction. Because I wear closed toe and open toe shoes when I dance/compete, I was hesitant about using them. I can honestly say that they fit well and stay on your foot ( I practice in them about 2 hours a day and my foot gets very sweaty). When I'm done, I wash them with warm soapy water and lay them out to dry and their ready for use. In a follow up appointment to my podiatrist, I showed them to him and he gave them his seal of approval - so I'm a happy dancer!!!1/18/2014 - UPDATE:I still have my dancer pads. I have a few pair and they are still going strong. Eventually they do get kind of dirty, but they are still useful. Here is one suggestion for keeping them "sticky". Keep the plastic container that they come in. After you use your pads, wash them with soap and water & rinse. Shake off the excessive water (do not pat dry) and place them on the plastic container. The next time that you use them you will see that they are pretty stuck to the hard plastic. Just pull them off and place them on your feet.Another tip is to make sure your feet aren't sweaty, dirty or have any creams on them. I usually wipe my feet down with some antibacterial gel and then place the pads on when it dries. If you are a dancer, it might take a few times before you figure out the right spot to place the pads for greater comfort, but eventually you will and you'll be a happy dancer!6/16/2014 - UPDATE: Came back to buy some extra Dancer's Pad only to find that the price went from $9.95 + Free Shipping to $19.95 + $5.95 shipping. Not sure what's going on here and why there aren't any other sellers of this on Amazon, but this is still available on other sites for $9.95 + free shipping. Hope the price comes down on Amazon. Until then, I'll have to buy them elsewhere.

Definitely better than nothing, and feel better as one becomes accustomed to them.
UPDATE: Editing my earlier review, to say that, having now had extended use of the three different kinds of pads I bought quite awhile ago (as well as a couple of other products bought elsewhere), I find these PediFix Dancer's Pads to be the best. They are simply more comfortable (especially after you use them awhile, and become more accustomed to the feeling of having them stuck to the bottom of your foot), and they stay securely affixed much more successfully than the other kinds, mostly staying in place, even when I wear them with bare feet, around the house. Also, since my issue is primarily with my left foot, I appreciate that, if necessary, I can use the right-footed pad on my left foot, by changing the positioning. It's not ideal, but a workable solution, when the left-foot pad is not available. The other two brands I bought here (listed below) are slightly thicker, which means actually less comfortable, because there's too much distance between the outside surface of the pad and the surface of my skin. Also, the edges of those are too acute, or pronounced, whereas the PediFix pads kind of gently slope at the edges, making the pad more like a part of ones foot. So, that's my update to the original review, below.Having searched in stores for something like these (I didn't know if they even existed), I finally thought to search here, and bought three different brands of the same kind of product. Besides these, I got Dr. Jills Gel Ball of Foot Cushions (Self-Sticking and Re-Usable) and Dancers Professional Gel Foot Pad (Set, left/right). Having used all three since getting them in May, I'm grateful for them all. I'm still not sure which, if any brand is a favorite *(see above edit; these are the best). I like these a lot; they may be slightly less cushioning than the Dr. Jills, but they also take up a bit less space, so can be worn in some shoes that are too tight with the Dr. Jills ones. All in all, if you're having pain with the ball of the foot, I recommend these as well as *(but more than) those other two brands.
