well designed and made…very useful
This tool is amazing. Essentially, if you add a couple of expansion tips, you have a tool that can take you from the primary water supply down to the smallest branch. I can probably see benefits of pairing this with the M12 expander if you do pex work daily. While I understand the M12 unit might be a little faster than the M18 unit, the M18 unit is far from slow. When you compare the hole process to soldering copper or gluing CPVC, Pex wins hands down for speed - especially when you are not an every day plumber. The tool fits well in my hand, the pistol grip is comfortable. I prefer 3 ah batteries just to take a little weight off, but a battery still lasts for a long time - easily a day for me. Pex A to me is easier, safer, and less prone to error than Pex B. in the same way, this tool pretty well takes all the guess work out of expanding the pex - you don’t have to guess when it’s done - it stops when it is done.if there is a flaw in this tool, it is the case. First any tool at this price point should have a packout case option. secondly, the provided case does not allow for the storage of of 1/2 and 3/4 expansion heads. If you are getting in to pex A, I would wholeheartedly recommend this tool to you.
