Q: What is the front to back depth of the compartments?

The top tray has six compartments. Four are the same, about 4 1/4" by 1 3/4", one is larger, 4 1/4" by about 5 1/4" and the long thin one is 13 1/2" by 1 3/4". All the tray compartments are about 1 1/4" deep.The middle tray has eight compartments just under 6 1/2" by 1.75" and 1 1/4" deep.The lowest tray has 4 compartments about 6 1/2" by 1 3/4" (1 1/4" deep), and one larger compartment 6 1/2" by 3 1/2".The bottom is about 15 1/2" by 7 1/4" with slightly curving edges so it's not a perfect rectangle. The depth is about 3 3/4".

Q: Are the compartment dividers removable?

no however it is the best tackle box ive ever owned I wanted larger trays on the top shelf on both sides of my box so all I did was take a pocket knife and cut out a couple of the dividers to fit larger things like knives bigger hook box etc. Works great
