The band is well made, gator is nicely finished and lined, gold plated stainless is smooth and flawless, fit perfectly. This band elevates my gold plated stainless watch, it just looks right.I will not wear it everyday but will when I'm dressing up or going out. The band was stiff out of the package but I worked it for a while rolling and gently bending and twisting. It now fits the wrist correctly. The ends of the band are fastened to the Apple band hardware with a pin. It's the same way bands attach to conventional watch brackets. The manufacturer provided extra pins and a tool in case they are ever needed.I think I will order one in black as well.I would recommend to a friend.

I've worn a leather band with a butterfly clasp on all of my watches for decades. Whether Tissot or Timex, I always swapped out the band and clasp. Nothing beats the comfort of leather and the ease of a butterfly clasp. So when I switched to an Apple Watch, the first thing I looked for was a leather band and butterfly clasp.I was prepared to hate the Moran when I bought it. How could it be any good for that price? I have been wearing it 24/7 (except charging and showers) for a month and it still looks brand new. The clasp operates with precision and the leather has broken in nicely. For the price, I'm expecting 1-2 years from the band and clasp. I hope Moran releases a version to match the new Starlight color of the 7 series watch. If they do, I will buy another for sure.

Yes, it is fake alligator and for the first few months it looked pretty snazzy. For the price, I felt it was worth the money. The locking mechanism took me a few minutes to figure out and practice made perfect.

This band was a nightmare! The instructions did not say how to remove the band after the band clasp did not work correctly. The clasp was too thin for the other side of the band to be inserted. I notified the company about this. They graciously sent a replacement ban immediately. But, the replacement band had the same issue with the clasp!! I also could NOT get the band separated from , my apple watch!! Yikes! Needed to go to a jeweler to get it removed and it was very difficult for them!! I thought I was going to be required to take the problem to apple!! Finally, the jeweler used a tool to disconnect the band and it came apart from the watch in pieces!!?This whole thing was not acceptable. For the price of this band, I expected it to work perfectly. I also like to switch bands out, and this band was not meant to be switched out easily. Am sorry it did not work because the look was good. Probably not alligator, but was close enough.BOTH are being RETURNED!

Looks more expensive than it was and is very comfortable, as I always wear my watch. The quality is good and it fits my small wrist perfectly. I may repurchase in additional colors.

I'm a sucker for understated elegance. The clasp on this band is just enough gold for me to pretend it's real. I tried it was a gold watch cover and it was too gaudy. With a black cover, subtle and classy. The leather is soft and I love a clasp that holds the watch in place if the buttons are accidentally pushed. Although that can't happen. It takes two fingers and some intention to open the clasp.Update: Ordering my second, black with silver this time.
