Hunt's Whole Tomatoes San Marzano Style, 28 Oz

Never heard of this type of tomato until a friend mentioned them. They are amazing for inclusion in sauces! Highly recommend!!!!!!

I received four cans very quickly. The reason for four instead of five stars is because one of the cans I received was terribly dented. The box and packaging showed no damage. It would have been impossible to miss a can this damaged while packing the box. It isn’t worth returning an item this inexpensive.

Great priced San Marzano tomatoes! These are great in any recipe using tomatoes! Taste great!

So these used to be my absolutely favorite. A nice thick puree and meaty tomatoes packed thick in the can. An excellent value. And a nice tart, not too sweet taste that is perfect for marinara.So you can understand my extreme disappointment when I got this six pack and all of the cans were full of watery tomato juice, instead of puree and a few small tomatoes. Particularly since this was for our holiday party and we had 18 people coming. Now, previously 6 cans would have been PLENTY for lasagna for 18 guests. This time, I had to scrounge around in my pantry and had to add other stuff to the sauce to make it work. Which was DISSAPOINTING.

My first time using this type of whole tomatoes. It was worth the price. I could tell the difference in the taste.
