Good price for the value.
This was used as a standard for a uv cure application. The actual output putting the unit directly on a calibrated UV light meter was about 0.5 W/cm2. For get the 10 watts as a value. The wattage they quote is at best good only to compare units. The measure output is actually very good and can be use to cure any UV cure adhesive in an industral application. It is also bright enough to detect rat urine and other such applications. I think it was a great value. Having the 366nm filter makes it a great detection tool. It works even when the lights are on for look for rat urine.

Bright but
Very strong UV LED gets reactive materials to fluoresce from quite a distance. Black filter removes most visible light. UV light is not smooth with unusual hotspot “ring” visible. Biggest problem is a parasitic drain on battery even when switched off and not in use. When switching on after a few hours of non use, the light will flash on and off almost like a strobe, indicating a weak battery. Have tried using different batteries but with the same result- a drained battery after several hours of non use.

Good light
Seems like a solid flash light. It doesn’t feel cheap and the battery is a rechargeable type that you can replace if it goes bad. I like it and I’d recommend it. It’s doesn’t have a ton of throw, however even in the light it works good but dark it works extremely well.

It works, but requires care.
The flashlight works as advertised and produces 365nm UV light (I already have a 395nm UV flashlight and the difference is remarkable).- The source is actually composed of four 365nm LEDs, which means it gives a wide beam that actually has LESS brightness in the center (the beam creates a ring-like shape). This makes it good for scanning wide swaths of surface (carpets, walls etc.) but less effective when directed bright beam is required (bank notes, cards with security features). Perhaps this is intended.- The rubber cap for the USB-C charging port does not hold well and even slight movement makes it separate from the port. This compromises the water resistance of the flashlight. Upon careful investigation, I've found the reason to be the tiny rubber neck connecting the cap to the rubber ring. It is too long, creating tension and pushing the cap sideways off the port.- I do not know how the internal mechanisms of the flashlight are fixed to the aluminum construction but a fall from about 1 meter (or 3-4 feet in the old money) height on a hard surface (floor) caused the flashlight to temporarily stop working. I assume the internal components were pushed forward by the impact, disconnecting some circuitry, as I had to repeatedly unscrew the top cover and push the flashlight inner mechanism downwards to make it work again (or strike the tail end against the table in a true russian repair style).Other than this, I have no complaints.

Great customer service
I bought this to take with me when I go rockhounding. It worked great on my first trip, but my trip last week, it quit working. It feels like something is wrong with the on/off button. I'm outside of the return window, and am unsure how to contact Alonefire. Upside is that the one I bought in December for my husband works perfectl**Update: I was able to contact Alonefire, and the promptly replaced the defective flashlight. Great customer service!

Will reveal all secrets!
We have a couple of new puppies in the family and this flashlight is worth every penny to help keep the house clean. The 365NM wavelength is the real star here and the black filter lens makes it work that much better. Drop ambient light a little and this thing will reveal specks of dust you never thought existed and pet urine glows ultra bright. We are very impressed with this UV flashlight and will be buying a second one for when we travel.
