Manduka Large eQua Towel

The product is incredibly slippery and is very hard to do yoga on. All this despite it being quite expensive.

I began practicing hot yoga and bought this mat to use on top of my previously purchased manduka eko superlite mat. This towel mat is light weight, absorbs sweat well, dries quickly, and grips onto the mat underneath. I did not slide unexpectedly at all!

Great quality towel that pairs nicely with a closed cell mat.

This is the smoothest, softest mat cover I've ever used in my 7 years of practice. I've been using only this style in my Ashtanga practice, laid over a Manduka Prolite, and while it still bunches and shifts a bit, not nearly as much as yogitoes or other kinds. I prefer a machine-washable towel-style over the Mysore rug most of the other practitioners in my shala use ... plus, this can double as a shower towel after yoga and a sauna towel. I use it without spraying it with water, but a little spritz would make it "sticky" (my teacher prefers we use technique/form to stay in place). I had my first towel for over 2 years, and just gifted myself with a new one this year.

Did not end up using the towel. I started doing hot yoga but stopped due to wrist issues. I love my Manduka mat and like to do poses and stretches on it. Maybe I'll go back to doing hot yoga.
