Spoiler-Free Review
Old Boy, Volume 2 continues the story of the man who calls himself, "Yamashita." In this volume, he finds out more about himself and his past, and there are clues as to why he was locked in a room for ten years. He even finds an old friend at the track, who gets him in contact with his lost love. The dialogue is sparse, and you can read the whole volume in half an hour.Half an hour, you ask? Why is a half hour's entertainment worth $11? This is art, and art changes you. When I saw Pulp Fiction in the theaters 20 years ago, as a college student, my favorite aspect of the film came after the movie was over, seeing frat boys trying to walk tough on the way to their moms' Volvos and Camries. The 41-year-old version of me acknowledges the symbolism of the novel, but can't help but be drawn in by the sheer coolness of Old Boy. I love it. *****

A definite must-read.
Great read. It is a story that will keep you tuned in from start to finish. The art is amazing as well. With gorgeous two-page spreads. This definitely constitutes a classic read.
