Best mixer for paint
It works very well. I used it to mix Flotrol into a gallon of latex paint after I had used a small amount of the paint already. I mixed it right in the original paint can and it worked just fine. I did have to be careful of my drill speed. I did have to file the corners off of the end of the rod to get it to fit into my Milwaukee 3/8' drill. The shaft is hexagonal in shape. It took only a few minutes to file the corners down to fit in the drill. Well worth the effort to do so considering the price of other mixers like this one that are intended for 3/8 drills. Next project is a bigger one where I will have to box several gallons of paint together in a 5 gallon pail. I have every confidence that it will do a fine job there as well.

Heavy duty tool, great for stirring driveway sealer.
I used it to stir five 5-gal pails of sanded driveway sealer that were in storage for 3 years. It worked great and saved me a whole lot of work. The shaft is 3/8" hex and fits in my 1/2" cordless drill but not my 3/8" corded drill, which is the one I wanted to use. So I put a 3/8" socket driver with a 1/4" shaft in the drill and used that to drive the stirrer. I held it together with duct tape. The tool is well made of heavy steel so I will probably use it to mix some mortar later this year.

Does the job. Mixes paint. Cheaper at harbor freight though.

Works great. I have a smaller diameter bargain-store version of one of these and this one is much nicer construction. It's easier to clean due to the design, not just because it's bigger. It can get a 5 gallon bucket of latex paint churning no problem. Been using it a lot lately with my new house purchase and renovation.

Highly useful
I use this primarily for stirring home made laundry soap in a 5 gallon pail. I did have issue with shank that goes into the drill chuck. It is a hexagon type shaft, so I simply rounded off the edges with a file so it would fit into my drill. More and more people are making their own liquid soap these days, so I really like using this for mixing. I know it would be wonderful for mixing mortar and paint also. Be careful with the speed you mix at..too much and it could end up outside the bucket or pail, though. This was more than long enough to mix in even with a deeper 6 gallon container.

I use it for degassing cider and making beer.
Has an easy to clean coating, well made for my application. Good mixing and the design will let you get all the way into the corners of a bucket. I use 7 gallon buckets and it reaches the bottom.
