This thing is amazing. With the antenna that comes in the kit (I think it's a -9db) I'm able to get a strong reliable single from a source that my 2020 model HP EliteBook's internal interface can only see intermittently, and can never use. The same source is consistently visible, but unusable with my Alfa AWUS036H and it also has an upgraded -9db antenna. I'm realizing now that I should have grabbed some signal measurements for this review. It's only downside, for some, will be its size. Even if you made a small antenna for it, it is relatively large for someone who is trying to be discrete. However, even with the large antenna, it fits in my standard-size backpack and I just have a usb cable between my backpack and my laptop. That downside will be an upside to some of us. Frankly, I love the looks I get when I strap it to the outside of my backpack. Other geeks will comment a lot.Drivers have not been an issue on Ubuntu or Manjoro Linux. It is just plug and play; no messing with drivers at all. I was also able to run it via usb-passthrough on an Ubuntu VM in VirtualBox, but it did get a little flaky. However, it's the first thing I've ever tried to run that way, so the problem is almost certainly not this device, but my VirtualBox setup. Just mentioning it because it's the closest to a negative that I have had.The USB cable that comes with it is extremely long. Just measuring with my "wingspan" it's a little over 15ft. Not sure if the description lists that. For some that may be overkill, but when it comes to cable length, I would rather have and not need than need and not have. Back to the backpack, I can throw my backpack under a table and the cable has no problem reaching the laptop on the table.I believe these reviews follow the product, and not the seller, so I can't speak for all sellers. However, RadioFrequent is the seller that I bought mine from, and they were great. I had a problem with shipping that was no fault of theirs, and they corrected it with no hassle at all.Great products, great kit. If you are going to buy the UAC2, get this kit. Even if you plan to use another antenna, this one is going to be a nice option to have and the price is great for the package (at least as of late 2022)
