This stuff works! If you have a lingering cough with a scratchy throat (the kind of cough that doesn't produce), this root will cure it for you. It's mild numbing agent will temporarily rid you of the reflex to cough. You can make a tea out of it, but I just chewed about a gram at a time and held it between my cheek and gums as if it were smokeless tobacco. Tastes like really strong, bitter celery, but I didn't chew it for the taste. Works better then honey or tussin.
