Lego's Ahoy!
My 2/12 yr old daughter is obsessed with Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Legos. So this set was perfect for her! Its still Duplo so it is designed for smaller children but still needs a little mommy and/or daddy help to put together. Bucky is one of her favorite parts of the show so she was thrilled when she saw the box and we opened it up. She plays with it all the time, although she likes to shoot the cannon at the cat. lol We buy a lot of Lego in this house and, as has been our typical experience, Lego hit the nail on the head with this set too! You can even make Captain Hook walk the plank! We have extra gold debloons for her to play with and its helping her learn to count by 'sailing' Bucky around her room and collecting them to put in the treasure chest. This can also be used as a bath toy since it will float but I would caution against it because the boat is not completely sealed and the water that gets in can easily cause mold, but it isn't meant to be a bath toy either. Overall money well spent!

My son loves this
My son is 2 1/2. Although he can't put it together well, he loves to play with it and watch me put it together ;-)The quality is fantastic, of course. What else would you expect from LEGO?The only reason I gave it 4 stars is I just can't justify spending almost $40 for it. $30 or less would have given it 5 stars.

Hours of no battery fun!
We love Legos for the kiddos. We got this set for our three year old grandson; we spend hours putting it together, breaking it apart and building it again, always in a different way. We've thrown the formal directions away. This is a great set; plenty of pieces to get a young mind active, but still chunky where I don't have to worry about them ending up in strange places, like his nose. I priced this online, comparing two local big stores and here on Amazon; it was about the same price and given that, getting it delivered for free won!One special note - something I didn't know to expect. When you load the "cannon" with the lego-style "cannon ball" it actually fires when you push the button, which of course a toddler boy thinks is the neatest thing ever. He accidentally popped me in the arm with it; it can travel pretty far, but doesn't really have any force behind it.

Great for ANY Lego or Disney fan!
This is a great big box of FUN! It has several pieces that are large and easy to hold for small hands, young or old. The great show on the Disney Channel "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" is my nephew's favorite animated show and it was his favorite birthday gift this past Saturday. He yelped with excitement and my 12-year old son had a blast right alongside him! Duplo blocks by Lego have always been my favorite for the fore mentioned reasons and also because they are easier to keep up with and are easily spotted, unlike the ones designed for ages 8+, too. This made Teddy's big day a real success and the kids were drawn like moths to a flame. A must have!

Toddler Hit!
My toddler really likes this set. In addition to his usual "towers" .. he can now put blocks on the ship. He thought that was the coolest piece ever! He actually attempted to hang onto it when it was nap time-- and woke up wanted to play with his blocks again. Can my 2-year-old build this perfectly? Of course not! But he has a blast putting things together and says "Wooooow!" once it starts looking great. Especially when I help out. He loves playing with the lego people (Captain hook and Jake). We even added a few of our other blocks and people for more enjoyment.

Standout Christmas present
When I saw this on the shelves, I HAD to get it for my 4-year-old nephew. He knows and likes Jake, but isn't a die-hard fan, but I thought it was a really cute pirate ship.As soon as all the presents were opened, he had to play with this one. It stayed out throughout the Christmas week, and all of the kids were eager to take turns with it, particularly with the "working" cannon. All of the adults were impressed with how many elements the set had.

Good Lego duplo set
My 4.5 year old loves this. We gave it to him for Christmas and he has fun with it all the time. The deck can come off so he even likes to play with it in the bathtub and then it is easy to empty the water and clean out. Can't go wrong with Lego Duplo for preschoolers.
