It's like I've never heard sound before!
I was looking for a replacement for my JBL Charge 3 that was no longer holding a charge. I did my research for about a week and wanted something that at least sounded AS GOOD as the Charge. I frequently use my speaker for blasting music from my iPad but I use it daily for my television. Now the Charge had 20W so I wanted at least that. This Motion+ has 30W. After considering more expensive speakers, I went with the Soundcore Motion+ and also decided to get a renewed product instead of brand new. I'm a big advocate for buying renewed/refurbished devices. Why buy new? All devices die eventually so why not save a good piece of money on 'em?I cannot tell you how happy I am with this speaker. It sounds incredible. It really does. The bass is incredible. And while I'm not always a fan of having to use apps with certain devices, the app for this speaker is the best. For instance, right now I'm watching YouTube videos on my TV. Normally, I'd have no control over the sound. But with the Soundcore app, I just open up my iPad (while the speaker is still connected to my TV), connect the speaker and switch up the equalizer as I like. Then I can disconnect from my iPad and keep the party going. Like, who does that? How smart is that? As a quickie, for just bass, you can just tap the button on top of the speaker. The speaker also has significant weight; a little heavier than the JBL Charge 3. But I like it. It feels like it's made well. And with renewed items from Amazon, I have a full 90 days to make sure I'm happy with it. I'm sure I will be. My JBL Charge 3 was also bought renewed and it lasted a good 3 years. I don't know if that's good or not for the life of a bluetooth speaker, but I feel like it served its purpose. The only thing that makes me sad is that I now have to throw it away. I wish I could send it somewhere to get re-renewed so that someone else could use it. The idea of another speaker in a landfill makes me a little sad.But back to the Soundcore Motion+. I love that it uses USB-C instead of USB that I used for my old Charge. Also with the app, you can get a view of how much battery power is left. I wish it showed the percentage, but instead it shows the battery icon with lines to give you an idea. The battery really does last a long time. I charged it up when I got it day before yesterday, watched TV with it all day long, switched to play some music on my iPad then back to TV. I haven't recharged it yet and it's still going strong. The one thing it doesn't have that I've gotten spoiled by with the JBL Charge is you can't use it to charge something else. When we had a power outage a few years ago, I was able to charge up my JBL and bring it home to use to charge my phone. I don't have that luxury with the Soundcore Motion+ but it's not a big deal. Just a feature I wish it had but can certainly live without.I'm so pleased with my purchase and I'm certain you will be, too.

Seriously - you can get ANY adjustment out of this. How can you not LOVE this speaker
I never write reviews, but this needed it. Music is so personal and I'm sure you feel the same way. I spent months looking for bluetooth speaker. I felt overwhelmed with all the info, reviews, and different models. And I couldn't really get into a lot of stores to hear different models due to COVID. So I would stop looking and try again later when I had more brain power.I was finally ready to take a chance and pull the trigger on a SoundCore Motion, but then discovered the Soundcore Motion +.It had strong reviews and it's multi speaker design appealed to me.The Motion + arrived, was easy to pair and the sound clarity, depth, and range was phenomenal. Simply incredible! But — the magic for me is the Soundcore app (which I think only works on the Motion + and not the Motion). It's literally a game changer. It puts an equalizer in the palm of your hand, giving you the ability to adjust the full range of audio performance and levels from bass to treble.A lot of speaker brands claim to have big bass, but to me most of them just like loud sound pumped out under a pillow. I want bass, but not so aggressive it turns into muffled music misery. With the app, you can fully adjust the audio performance. I was able to easily get the sound to what I enjoy personally — bass where I want it and sound clarity on the high end. I'm rather eclectic and listen to everything. I don't foresee a constant need to make adjustments. I set the levels once in the app and I'm enjoying everything from dance to country to classical to audio podcasts, and more. If you want to change it depending on your music, it's easy to do.It's loud audio. It's clear audio. It's clean audio. The free Soundcore app makes it soooo adjustable. I can't imagine you won't be able to achieve the sound you want. Seriously - you can get ANY adjustment out of this. How can you not LOVE this speaker? The multiple speakers in the Motion + DO make a difference. The audio fills any space beautifully. It's absolutely awesome. This speaker completely removed any doubts about a bluetooth speaker. Wait - let me correct that. It removed any doubts about the Motion +.A couple quick things I'm discovering as I still figure it out…I like that it pairs to multiple devices. Seems to easily auto switch between my iPad and iPhone.I like that the Motion + will turn off if not in use in 30 minutes.I don't use the speaker to watch movies, but for this review, I did pair it to my iPad. I streamed a Netflix documentary, I then streamed a movie off my Plex server, I did a YouTube Video, an Amazon video - and in all cases I experienced NO audio lag. The sound seemed to sync seamlessly - unlike some other bluetooth speakers I've used in the past. Maybe that has to do with more current Bluetooth technology on my devices I don't understand, but my guess is if you're looking for a good speaker to enhance your movie watching experience, this is it. If there's any lag - I'm not seeing it at all with my devices.PROS• Loud• Clear concert sound• Fully adjustable levels with the app• Multiple speakers• You can connect multiple speakers• Amazing performance with an amazing priceCONS• The top surface where you adjust volume and bluetooth pairing is a soft matte material, susceptible to fingerprints. I'm too new with the unit to state whether that's a real "con", but there ya go…• Wish it came with a USB-C cable for charging, but that's probably being picky. Most of us already have a drawer full of cables already with a spare cable.• I should have bought a couple more for around the house! lol

Serious audio quality! Passive radiator design for deep tight bass!
This is probably one of the most unique designs for a Bluetooth speaker I've ever seen, it has an incredible passive radiator design with a port on back that magnifies the bass response. You can turn that enhancement off/on but I would leave it on, it's superb audio. This speaker DOES use Qualcomm APT-X. You can watch the speakers jump while music is playing, thus the name "Motion".The single issue seems to be the rear port. I was living in a cockroach infested place and they got INSIDE the speaker in attempting to set a nest up there. Trying to get them out through the port, I lost the right channel speaker! broke the wire evidently, but not it's tweeter. So the refurbished unit came in handy! NOTE: There is a very interesting feature of the Motion+. If you have two of these, Connect to Bluetooth normally and then press and hold the second for 4-seconds and the first logged on becomes the left channel and the second one the right channel. This works quite good and the soundfield is incredible! Love watching the speakers jump while playing music You'll want to add the Soundcore app for software updates and other interesting features. Way to go Anker!
