So cute Grrr
Welp I really like this little lioness costume… Phoebe not so much. At least I got to take a couple cute pics before she got real upset. It’s funny & makes for a sweet little costume for your precious pet.True to size (was a bit big but I went big instead of risking too small). The Velcro fastens nicely. If your cat ever goes to the groomer (many breeds have to, like some hairless breeds etc), they may not mind it at all. It’s a lot like the bonnets they use to calm cats being groomed.Took off one star because it could be softer, but the inside is soft and that’s more important. It’s also a bit disheveled.Overall great purchase!

I love this! My cats
I love this! My cats... not so much. Win! I use this as their new "cone of shame" for when any one of my four kitties does something bad. Mama & papa kitties tolerate it. Papa even took a nap in it. The kittens (1.5 y.o.), however, immediately try to shake and paw it off, then sit and sulk when they can't quite get it all the way off. This is definitely on the large side. Papa and the male kitten are around 12-15 lbs and it fits them okay. But mama and the female kitten are dainty (7-10 lbs) and it doesn't stay on them hardly at all. Especially the 7 lb kitten. She simply looks down and this slides off. As for the toy that came with this, they LOVE it! Seriously... My mama cat had the toy thoroughly soaked in drool and was pretty much mopping my hardwood floor with it within 5 minutes. Even the lion mane had an odd, fishy odor to it that my cats were attracted to... as long as it wasn't on their head. All in all, this is a great product. It has given my husband and I many laughs. Well worth it!

Way too big
The product is not as cute as in the picture, and it was way too big for all of my cats. Not a bad cost for what it is, though, just wish it fit better.

entertaining for humans...the cats might be another story...
I have 2 young-adult sibling cats, and this is our first cat costume in a series of recent purchases. I was pleasantly surprised by the feel and quality of this costume - it highly surpasses the others. You won't be disappointed. As for how the cats feel, that's a different story :) One cat physically rejected the costume, but I was able to capture this image of the other one. If you have multiple cats, I do want to share one caution: after approximately 5 minutes of wear, the "undressed" cat became VERY, VERY upset with the costumed one. It was quite dramatic - and that's not something that's ever happened among my normally agreeable cats. Everyone's ok now, but I've decided that this costume can only be worn when they're separated so that there's not any "confusion" in their feline world.

Absolutely adorable! A caring thoughtful company
Some things are just too adorable for words. We were very pleased with the quality and design of our little lion mane costume for our little orangie. We took endless pictures. We were touched with the free gift of a catnip feathered bird. Our cat absolutely loved this toy. Gone are the feathers and most everything else. One day we found it buried in the litter box. As most parents have experienced when the favorite toy is gone missing or is broke the world can come to an end. I contacted customer service and they were absolutely amazing when I asked if I could purchase additional toys and didn't think I was crazy. Alison is a superstar. She made everything super easy and super quick. I wish all companies are as steller and customer service as they are.

Maybe next year...
As everybody's been saying, I love it, but my cat hates it. It was a tad too big for him, but he's still only about 7 months. I thought this might work out because he's big for his age and is already sporting a cat harness (as opposed to a kitten one). Maybe with some time and proper treat motivations, I can coax it onto him long enough for a picture. Maybe next Halloween. I do have to say, it's one of the better lion mane's I've seen compared to the ones in the petstores. It has a nice soft fleece underside, and the velcro strap holds on pretty tight and the fur doesn't get pulled out that easily. Either way, it's a great cause to support, so why not? :D
