Excellent and effective treatment.
I had a plantar wart on my foot, my own fault for being outside barefoot, and needed to get it off as it was behind my big and first toe and causing significant pain when I walked. First I had a doctor cut it off and cauterize it, party because it made walking very painful due to the area of my foot it was on, and partly because I wanted a conformation that it was a wart and not an embedded thorn, but it returned. So instead of paying for another doctors treatment, I decided to go the cryotherapy way, figuring it was much cheaper than my copayment. I ordered it here on Amazon because it was not available locally for the same price, but if you can get it locally I suggest you do because rules say this item must ship via slow ground shipping.Following the suggestion in the manual, I soaked my foot for several minutes in warm water. I also took the suggestion some other reviewers had and let the tip chill for about 4 or maybe 5 seconds instead of the recommended 3 seconds as this was a plantar wart on a heavily callused area. Placing it on the center of the wart, I held it for about 50 seconds, which is longer than the recommended 40 seconds for heavily callused areas. There is a little pain involved, but it's a dull pain.It has been a week since I applied it, and it doesn't hurt anymore. It looks black and red under the surface, which is what you want to see as it means a blister has formed and is pushing the damaged area along with the wart off. The manual says plantar warts should fall off in about 14 days. This kit should effectively have no expiration date unless it is stored improperly, so if you ever get another wart, it'll be ready to cure it.

This Stuff Really Works!
I have been battling an extremely stubborn, very large wart for awhile now on the bottom of my foot. Prior to purchasing the Dr. Scholl's wart remover, I had tried everything from over-the-counter salicylic acid to duct tape to cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen) at the doctor's office. Everything helped, especially the multiple treatments of liquid nitrogen, but my wart was still there and wouldn't completely go away. I walk a lot so it gets a bit uncomfortable occasionally and I just wanted this wart to go away. Rather than going to the doctor's office again, I found this product on Amazon and, since it had great reviews and the price was excellent, I ordered it immediately. This wart remover really works well and I am pleased with the results. The kit comes with a can of dimethyl ether and propane, seven disposable applicators, and the activator. I have used a total of three of the applicators and the product has really made a difference! It works in a similar way to liquid nitrogen because it basically freezes the wart. For me, it was a little uncomfortable when my husband applied it to my foot but I also knew that it was doing its job. Shortly after it was applied, I was able to walk around barefoot with no problems.I currently still have a tiny part of the wart left but it is almost gone, thanks in part to this wart remover! If you are considering purchasing this for a wart, I highly recommend this product. The price we paid for it and the results we have gotten from it have been worth it for us. I would also suggest reading the included instruction book carefully. The print is fairly small but the product works best when it's applied correctly. If I ever have a wart to treat in the future, I will definitely be purchasing the Dr. Scholl's Freeze Away Wart Remover. This stuff really works well!

It worked in conjunction with a few other items
I suppose it works, but I also incorporated apple cider vinegar, duct tape, and a swisstool. I threw everything I could possibly think of at the little guy and so far it hasn't come back. The Freeze Away wart remover does sting upon application, but nothing too bad. It also continued to hurt for a few days, but again, it's nothing too bad. The wart did change color but after two weeks was still there. It seemed like a dying star in that it got a little bigger and got a lot brighter, but you could tell it was struggling. The second attempt at using the Freeze Away wart remover was aided by apple cider vinegar and duct tape. The apple cider vinegar made my skin raw and hurt. It stripped away a lot of the skin on and surrounding the wart. I had to stop using it after a few days. The duct tape seemed to help as well. I put it on at night and in the morning it would kinda pull off some of the skin on the wart making it smaller and smaller. In the end, a combination of the three aided by the needle nose pliers on the swisstool did the job. There is a tiny little scar, and I mean tiny, that I can see under certain lighting conditions, but that's it. This happened a few months ago and so far it hasn't returned. Lets hope it stays that way. I'm sure this isn't the best way, but the 'kitchen sink' method seemed to work for me.
