Despite the cost, this sharpener is great for every type of Felco pruner and shear. Much better than grabbing a file. Blades become razor sharp with very little effort. It is worth reading the instructions, which are about 2 sentences long but useful. I sharpened all of my wife’s pruners too but I didn’t tell her how little time it took. Watch it, you can cut yourself after you are done.

I bought a lot of Felcos over the years because of their warranties. When I actually read the warranties there is a lot of "small print." You can't just send them back easily for repair or replacement like you would think. I got this sharpener instead and it works beautifully. Now my Felco's, once so dull they just bent the plants' stems I was trying to cut, are sharp enough to cut my fingers off. I'm glad I got it now, and can get back to gardening and not have to ever buy another pruner. I highly recommend spending the money on this and using it on all your pruners. Be careful with your fingers after using it!!!

Easy to use, gives a sharp edge

It's very handy at bringing an overly dull pruner blade back to a point where the finish sharpening is a breeze. In times when additional sharpening is not possible this tool will at least get the pruners sharp enough that you can keep working.Minus one star for the exorbitantly high price.

Very effective and easy to use, Just follow the directions on the back of the package - Don't throw the package away before reeding instructions, which are not super clear, so read them a couple of times and practice on something you don't care about. Once you get the hang of it, which doesn't take long, it is super easy to work with and does a great job. About long levity, I haven't a clue I have only g-had this about a month, but is t has already renewed four pruners.John

Sharpens all sorts of tools quickly every morning. I don't know how long it will last, probably a while.I can stuff it into a felco holster meant for holding the diamond honing tool.UPDATE: It lasted a few years at that gardening job, and is still kicking. I'd wager it would last a few more years of heavy use. Get it!

I was wary about this sharpener until it arrived and I started to use it. VERRY easy to use and works great on all of the scissors, knives, chisels. and edge tools around the house and jobsite. Don't hesitate on this item if you have anything that needs a sharpening!

Very comfortable and effective. The shape makes it easier to feel and follow the angle of the edge you are sharpening. It’s more intuitive than holding a stone, because the curved handle fits comfortably in the palm of the hand. It’s much harder to misplace with the handy key ring on the handle.
