These are the coolest little things. No power cords to worry about and keeps hot food nicely at serving temperature with just a regular old tea light candle. It even has a little mechanism to extinguish the candle when you're ready so you don't have to try to lift the hot grate. Very nicely designed, easy to clean, easy to store. I ordered mine in time for Super Bowl festivities and I'm also looking forward to using them outside for entertaining... if summer ever comes, that is.

I have only used this once and the small candle inside made it so warm that it did burn the food in the area right over the candle to the bottom of the plate and when I took plate off and put it on a plastic area, it did take a layer off but in the instructions they do warn you of this. It's a great idea though as you don't need a place to plug it in, you can use it anywhere. I just need to work with it to see what materials can be used to keep it warm but not burn. Customer service was great.
