Typhoon Otto Black Stovetop Whistling Kettle 1.8 Litre

The media could not be loaded. This is my 1st day using the lovely dinky kettle. I like it, a lot so far.Boil time for a large mug of cold tap water 4 minutes.Well made, nice and light weight, definitely value for money . The whistles lovely, and gets loud 😊I bought this because apparently boiling a kettle can use a fair bit of electricity.. bills are so high, I thought I’d give it a month with gas stove kettle and see if my usage for electricity is lower .

I chose this kettle in black which is much more cost effective if you have a gas hob, matches my shiny black splashback on the wall behind my hob, it also boils water very quickly. Extremely pleased with this!

Nice kettle

Lovely little kettle, there is just me so this size is perfect. the whistle is loud enough I can hear it from the front room you do need to make sure the spout lid is closed properly otherwise it won't whistle as with any of these types of kettle. I have only used on my gas cooker for a week and no marks on mine as other reviews said. You do have to keep the flame under the kettle so it is not up and around the edges. The handle only gets slightly warm it has a comfortable grip and easy to pour. I am very happy with this kettle.

Looks great and value for money

Lovely kettle - volume of whistle varies depending on how much water is in the kettle. A good looking kettle - well balanced - handle will only get warm if left to whistle/steam for too long.

Does not sit flat on the induction surface therefore takes forever to boil, it's incredibly noisy whilst coming to the boil, If the packaging hadn't got torn off I would have sent it back. It looks nice though but we've reverted back to our old scruffy kettle

Bought this after the storm left us without power for a week. We have a portable gas top but it made sense to get something and use the energy made by the fire. Worked perfectly, I was worried it would not be compatible with the stove top but it's all absolutely fine!
