Remember the difference a good pair of wraps/gloves made on training gains? This Gym Timer is up there with said discoveries.Now $130 seems like a lot of money for something an iPhone/iPad could replicate. Au contraire. This bad boy is durable, so darn easy to program, and loud enough to overcome any music/fan noise accompanying it. No more midget screens I can't hear. It's also the perfect size to be noticeable without being cumbersome.Some might criticize this timer's lack of options...but that's exactly why I like it. Program your rounds, a rest period, and let it fly. 30/10 seconds left reminders, double beeps at start/round conclusion. Be creative with round lengths and rests to enable differing conditioning drills. When unplugged (which I do when not in use = no on/off button) it remembers previous settings.What it isn't? A CrossFit/TABATA timer. There are limitations to round/rest intervals. Still, with a little bit of creativity, this can arguably serve such a purpose.If you're a serious boxer/fighter...serious about his/her training...this needs to be on the top of the list for initial purchases. Maybe I'm just old school, but there's something so beautifully simple about a proper boxing timer to make the rounds and sweat fly by.

Purchased this item to time my training intervals doing an MMA style workout. This product is very easy to use, it has been very reliable, I would recommend to anyone that wants to train doing interval type workouts. It's very high quality, sound is very good and has stood up with a lot of abuse including knocking it over several times, still works like new.

It’s a great product the only thing I dislike it does not show which round your on when training but other than that pretty cool

Sturdy and well made. Easy to use with flexible timer settings unlike other models that limit time/rest setting options. Three volume levels (via the side switch with the 0, I, II settings) which make it appropriate for use in small to large spaces. I finally got a timer for my home gym and am very happy with this choice.

Overall, good. Would reccomend.Would like it to be more versatile. Would be nice if:1. User were able to turn off the warning sounds, only have the start and end round sounds.2. User were able to do 10 min rounds.3. ON/OFF switch would be nice.4. User were able set different intervals.Like I said, overall, good product. Somewhat expensive, but great quality and durability. Has lasted our club a while. No complaints. Loud. In rest, 10 second warnings, and in work, 30 second warnings.Would buy again if necessary.

I bought this timer for a boxing workout I do that involves 3 minute intervals of warming up, jumping rope and a heavy bag routine. I mounted it on the wall and the numbers are clearly visible, the sound is loud enough to hear over music and bag punching. I've used it about a year now and it's performed flawlessly.
