Great choice for upgrading a Strat!
I had the SSL-5 in the bridge of my Mexican strat and it sounded good but I didn't think it was as hot as described. I switched it to the neck position and to me sounded much better. I put the SSL-3 in the bridge....wow big difference! Louder, thicker sound, still sounds like a single coil but almost has a humbucker like sound. I know Gilmour has the 5 in his black strat in the bridge position but in order to get that sound, to my ears the 3 sounds better. All in all you can never go wrong with a Seymour Duncan pickup.

Buy rwrp if you only swap it with bridge position
Great sound But beware that make sure you buy the RWRP if you are going to only swap the bridge pickup on a fender strat. Otherwise the Position 2’s hum cancel will not work!

Not a middle pickup replacement, bridge recommended, neck optional but not recommended
Neck or bridge! Unless you purposely replace your neck and bridge pickups to south pole single pups then this must become a middle pickup yet that makes zero sense! This is a bridge single coil strat replacement and it sounds amazing! You want a warm sound starting with the neck pup, and gradually sounds hotter as you switch from 1-5 and this pup makes that transition sound very tasty. Thats my 2 cents
