Continental Hometrainer Folding Tire

It's the earlier reviews which helped me decide to buy this product and I am so glad I did!!It's extremely quiet on my Wahoo Kickr Snap and wears quite slowly too. There's very little to nil rubber grinds. I've put in 60km so far and tire is still like new. I know not a lot of distance clocked yet but compared to other products it's behaved so much better!! Looks promising to last 3-4k kms.The product is of great quality. Easy to install. Very low rolling resistance. Perfect fit. Great value for money.

Used this to retrofit an old 26-inch mountain bike (which used 26x2.1 knobbies) for a Kurt Kinetic trainer. Installation was no more difficult than a normal tire. Zero tire noise, no heat buildup even though I run the pressure a bit lower than recommended. No visible wear or rubber crumbs under the trainer wheel. I originally tried the Vittoria Zaffiro Pro, but they sent me the wrong size twice. I obsessed about spending the extra few bucks on the Conti but this was totally worth it.

This is the best wheel-on trainer tire that I have used. I love the fact that is a 700c-32mm wide and it's so smooth and silent on my Wahoo Kickr Snap. No more slipping when going hard into high power settings and climbing is as tough as it should be on Zwift.Stop damaging your road tires on the trainer and get this one!Pro-tip: get a spare wheel for the trainer only because changing the tire everytime you ride outdoors is a pain.

Been using this tire for a little over 2 months now, and have put about 300 miles on it. That's not much for the time period, but I've only started using it after torn meniscus surgery, and it's been a slow recovery. I have to say that the tire has performed well since the start. I purchased it (700 x 32mm) as a 'used-very good' item from the Warehouse, and so far, it has been living up to the Continental brand name.Easy to install; I have a 23mm wide rim that normally seats a 40c tire, and this fit perfectly. Noise level is surprisingly low while on the trainer; I expected louder. I can be peddling in the same room with the family watching TV, and they don't have to turn up the volume any louder than they normally would.Tire looked in good shape for the advertised condition. It actually looked unused and really just like old stock. Construction seems pretty good, and it appears like it would hold up for many miles to come. Will have to put some more hundreds of miles on it to see if/when it starts to break down. All in all, so far it seems like a good buy.

Been using this daily for 2 months now, and it is living up to all of its claims. My bike is much quieter, and there is no more black dust on the floor as what occurred with my standard road tire. It is absolutely worth the money.

I received a Conquer Pro indoor bike trainer and this Continental Hometrainer tire as Christmas gifts. After playing with the trainer, making sure it functioned properly, learning how to set it up and adjust it to my liking, etc. I switched from the knobby mountain bike tires fitted to the bike I’m using as a trainer to this Continental training tire.I was shocked when I unboxed the tire to find it was almost plastic feeling in its construction, and quite thin. The sidewall has the typical rubber feel of a tire but the tread surface has a decidedly more plastic texture to its construction. Installation was a breeze as the 26x1.75 tire fit on my mountain bike rim perfectly. The knobbies required some elbow grease to get the bead over the rim lip, but these Continentals went on with just my bare hands. Some air in the tube to keep its shape, stuffed it in the tire and pulled the pair over the wheel. Tucked the first bead between the rim lip and the tube, tucked the second bead between the rim lip and the tube. Done. Honestly took me longer to type this paragraph than to install the tire. I was astonished at how easy it was, and very happy!With the tire and wheel assembled and the bike back on the trainer I was stupefied at how nearly silent this tire is. The knobby tire roared like a vacuum cleaner, but now… the bike itself, the sound the chain, cranks, etc. are all louder than the tire itself. That's AWESOME!Worth noting though is that after the tire was run for a couple minutes the plastic feeling in the tread wore away, which was interesting. Also, the max pressure of the 26x1.75 tire is only 65psi, not the 100+psi reserved for 700c tires. Lastly, and this is what kept the tire from being a 5 star "I LOVE this thing!" review... this tire stinks to high heaven. It smells worse than any car tire. And the smell gets worse as the tire warms up. Likely the smell will dissipate with time as the rubber outgases but, for something that's going in your house, Continental should have done something to eliminate the chemical stench.Overall though, I'm very happy with this smelly little tire. It was a cinch to install, rolls smooth and is so shockingly quiet I want to ride the trainer just to be amazed at how little noise the thing makes! Just awesome!

I bought this to save wear and tear on my road tire. It works great. It's smooth and quiet. I've got the 700x32c on a 29er. So far so good!

I bought this because my regular road tires made a loud siren like noise on the trainer. This has removed the noise completely, the only sounds are the pedal of the bike and if I speed up on the bike a low vibration sound arises (which can be solved with a proper mat). Both leftover noises are negligible (they are low noises and don't bother me or anyone else).
