This review was updated...please read
I read a great review/test of this battery on intruderalert.com so I decided to buy one. The current price was $101 from Amazon, which was lower than others, so I bought it.The battery was dead out of the box. 10 hours on a smart charger and it read 12.7 volts which is good. Right after the charge, it wouldn't start the bike. It was dead again.Best part of all, amazon.com does not accept returns on batteries. So hello my new $101 paper weight!Edit on 6/16/14: I contacted Amazon and was assisted by Sharon. Amazon has resolved my problem and I can no longer stand by my statement that you should not buy a battery from Amazon.comI don't know if the original battery I received was a dud, or if it simply sat in inventory too long, but Amazon has corrected the problem. I am once again fully pleased with my purchasing experience with Amazon. Thank you!I will update my star rating after I receive the replacement battery. If it is a good, working battery, my rating will reflect so.EDIT on 6/26/14: I received my replacement battery from Amazon a day earlier than I was suppose to get it! I checked the voltage out of the box and it was at 12.44 volts. I put a 4 amp smart charger on it for 12 hours and after letting it sit, it came back at 12.9 volts. That was good.I put the battery in my '98 Suzuki Intruder VS1400 and the Motobatt started it right up. Not a bit of hesitation. Very good! It has been a week since I put it in the bike and I haven't been able to ride everyday, but every time I've tried to start the bike, it did not hesitate one second.I originally received a bad battery from Amazon, and according to Amazon's default return policy on batteries, I was left with a useless, yellow weight. But, it has been rectified. The battery I now have works flawlessly. If anything should change, I will update accordingly.Thank you for reading!

Does not appear to be genuine. Avoid.
Battery worked well for 1.5 years, suddenly my battery maintainer it has been hooked to started reporting the battery was only 6v instead of 12v. Checked with a multimeter to verify that my maintainer wasn't broken so it seems one of the cells died. The warranty pdf attached to the listing takes you to a really shady looking, unsecure website, and directs you that Amazon purchases must be handled through Motobatt Jacksonville FL. I called them and they directed me to go to their website motobatt.us to start a claim. The claim form says that Amazon is not an authorized retailer so they won't provide warranty. So I'm basically out of luck even though the battery died within the 2 year warranty period.Do not buy this battery.

Impressive so far
After running across this battery while researching, and finding an impressive field test of this and several other batteries, which this battery stood head and shoulders above the rest, I ordered this one for my 02 Vulcan 1500 classic. I bought the bike 3 years ago in March 09 with an AGM battery already in the bike. Over the last several months it seemed to be slowing down a bit, and not knowing how old it was I knew it probably needed replacing. The MotoBatt fit perfectly, and I like the double post design. Once installed, I hit the starter button and the bike turns over much faster than it did the day I bought it three years ago. It has been in the bike now for two months and still working like it was just installed. Of course, I wouldn't expect it to do any less at this point. I'll try to remember to post back here after a year and give a report. In the mean time, if you want to read how this battery was misused and abused in a pretty amazing field test, read this: [...]I'll check back in a year!OK, a year has passed and this battery is still working like new. This is its second winter and I obviously don't ride as much this time of year but do get occasional rides here in Texas, the battery starts the bike no problem. And with longer times between rides and the colder temps, you would expect it to struggle some but not this battery. I have never even used my battery tender on it. I did mount the leads for the tender when I installed the battery but have never taken the tender out of its box. So, I am happy with how this battery performs and stays charged up with minimal riding lately. I would still recommend this battery to everyone.

Good life
This was installed in a 2014 Moto Guzzi Stelvio that is stored and ridden in TX heat. The first battery only lasted 3 years but this current battery has lasted 6. Bike is not always on a tender and sometimes goes 2-3 months between rides. I ended up buying today's replacement from motobatt.us directly since the Amazon seller was a no-name battery distributor. It was only $5 more directly from the manufacturer.

Last on e of these I bought lasted 7 years (since 2017) so bought again
This is my 2nd Motobatt MBTX16U. Previous one Installed in late 2017 just now went south, sot that's 7 years and 10,500 miles on the last one-- Very good!! That's with the battery being on a battery maintainer through each Indiana winter. No reason to expect this unit won't also go 7 years. Exact fit for my model of motorcycle as well.

Best battery I have used to date
I have tried many batteries on my Suzuki M109R since replacing the OEM battery that came on my bike. This QuadFlex AGM Battery has 250 CCA and has Quad terminals for multi-terminal fitment for your needs. The terminals can be mounted in the front, top or side of each battery posts. If you have added LED light strips or pods to your bike, this battery is for you. This battery is well constructed and fits perfectly in the battery box. The universal design of the terminals allow for positive connections on the left or right had side of this battery. The OEM battery required the Battery Tender installed if I did not ride often but this MotoBatt MBTX16U battery does not suffer from the same ills. If you are looking for a great maintenance-free battery with the Amps to put most batteries to shame, look no further. You will love the quad terminals!
