My son’s Spotted Python is in his room… where he has AC and fans constantly running. We were struggling with the humidity at first and I considered all sorts of expensive, complicated solutions. Instead, we took a chance and got this little thing. We used one of those glass mason jar style mugs with a lid that has a hole for a straw. We used the straw hole for the cord (the cord is in 2 pieces so super easy to fit) and played around with how many extra holes we needed to drill to get the proper humidity. We ended up with about a dozen small holes for the mist to eek thru. Our Python only needs about 60% humidity but you could definitely get a full-on Halloween, dry ice style mist in a Viv if you wanted/needed to. It’s inexpensive, simple, and small enough to fit in just about anything so there’s not a bunch of visible and clunky tech in a BioActive or naturalistic set-up. Vraska the Python has had PERFECT sheds every single time after getting this. It worked so well that we ended up buying another one for a friend with a Ball Python. And she loves it, too.(I used to have one of these years ago, too. I kept it in a large decorative bowl with crystals and pretty rocks. Makes for a nice decor piece as well as the functionality we are using it for now)

I have used one of these devices before and they work well and do last when using distilled water.I used this one in a 5-gallon desktop terrarium/paludarium and I’m really happy with the fog effect.This one is submersed by about a 1/4 inch and it does splash a little but it’s not really disruptive.I did plug it into a timer switch because the fog fills up the whole tank pretty fast.Would buy again for use in other projects.

It died on me within a month. I did have it on a timer that caused it to turn off and on at specific times. Overall, i was happy with the product. I used it in my chameleons cage and it was great! Really upped the humidity, misted the whole cage, put water droplets everywhere... Was perfect for a chameleons hydration needs. Got to say. But, it did die rather quickly. So, maybe i should give it fewer stars? I don't know, I'm on the fence as I'd like to give the product another chance bc i did love it when it worked, and maybe just edit the timer?

I bought this for my chameleon's enclosure. I had to return it because it stopped working after less than an hour. I didn't like how you have to keep this so close to the top if the water in order to get any mist; I had it in a Mason jar and it would not produce any fog/mist if it was near the bottom of the jar. When it was near the top to ACTUALLY PRODUCE FOG, the water sprayed all over. Less than an hour after getting it to work, it just stopped working altogether. I tried rinsing it, plugging it into a different outlet, and it was simply non-functional. I had to return it. I had high hopes for this to work, but I ended up sad because I have to buy a different misting machine when it was all said and done.

The product works well but my first impression when opened the package was that the product looks like a used product. The box looks terrible as you can see in the photos.

Sadly Amazon won't let me post my video but this is a great product. I use it in my tank for show only because it raises the moisture in the tank of left on for a long time and my plants don't like that, but if that is what you are looking for then perfect! It was fun to use as a smoking witches cauldron for Halloween decor as well. Easy to set up and use!

Needed the fog effect for a display. Unfortunately, not only did I get fog, which was great, but water shot up about 4 inches and splashed the display. If you don't mind the water splashing, it does create a good fog.
