RAE Gear Sheath Compatible with Leatherman BIT KIT + RATCHETING Extender with Universal Belt Size & ROTATABLE Belt Clip (bit Kits and Extender NOT Included)

I've been in the military for 32 years now, so I look for a few things when I'm purchasing gear.1) Quality/durability. The Rae Gear holster for the Leatherman Bit Kit and bit extender is build of quality steel. It's very sturdy, not thin and flexible. I can already tell that it's holding up to my requirements extremely well and it looks to do so for the foreseeable future.2) MOLLE compatibility. I expect to wear this on my belt most of the time, but I can think of times when I wouldn't be able to (for instance, some versions of battle armor hit the hip there and would be painful). I bought the 2.25" version of the holster to ensure that it would fit on my rigger belt, which it does, though it's a bit loose (my belt is 2"). However, the 2.25" Rae Gear clip fits two MOLLE strips perfectly, as you can see in my picture. Again, this will not be my regularly intended method of carry, but it's nice to have the option if an unforeseen issue comes up.The one small downside is that the holster is a bit heavy. But when you figure that they're using quality (not junk) steel, of a thickness necessary to ensure durability and snugness of fit (so you don't lose your bit set), it's a worthwhile trade-off.I'm extremely pleased, and will probably look at their Surge holster. The only reason I haven't purchased it yet is because I want to be able to carry the file that came with the Surge.

The fit for the 42 bit kit w/ the bit extender is perfect. I've used it everyday for over a month now and it feels as solid as the first day. It's much slimmer than my old leather sheath for them. The spring retention for the bit kit allows me to remove just one half and still keep the other in place. Versatility only got a three becase it's only made for one thing and thats ok, It does it's job better than anything else out there.

The bits both slide inside perfectly.Very nice high quality looking sheath.Has a spot for your driver to keep with the bits.Magnet keeps the driver in place. Spring steel inside keeps bits from falling out accidentally.RAE Gear make some great sheaths for Leatherman multi tools too.I highly recommend anything RAE Gear make.!!

This thing is really great for your bit sleeves and standard extension, but it's just slightly too narrow to fit the ratcheting extension.I've seen that aparently sone of the older style ones fit, but if you've purchased the ratcheting extension directly from Leatherman in the last year, it definitely doesn't fit.

This is an outstanding product, well designed and well made.Easy to carry, very slim and sits close to your body.Holds the bits and the driver very tight, even with one bit set out the other will not fall out.

I wanted to like this so bad but the ratcheting extender doesn't fit! Three stars for the build quality. Too much of a headache for me to send it back, I guess I'll just buy a regular extender to go in the side pocket.

I am a very big fan of this vendor and his craftsmanship. I have purchased many different holsters for my various multi-tools and all from him have held up very well. Excellent customer service as well. These types of holsters may not be for everyone. I like to know that my EDC items are well secured and that I will not lose them. This holster is the perfect companion to my tools. Others may want a less rugged look and go with a fabric/leather holster and that is fine. I have complete piece of mind that my gear I am carrying will be protected and will stay in place, being readily accessible when needed.

Does not fit the recently re-released ratchet bit driver from Leatherman. The port where it slides in is too narrow. On top of that the plastic belt attachment snapped and broke the first time I went to remove it. Bit drivers fit great though…
