MSR Ultralight Camping Kitchen Set

I got this great little set for cooking out on the AT on my next section hike..... ultralight, packable and well made. Total weight of kit is 4.8 ounces and comes in a nice storage sack. The usual high Quality construction that i come to expect from MSR. I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to using it.

It is fantastic I got this originally at local sports store but I managed to break my spoon. "they will not hold up when run over by car" I got it to go with my MSR Quick 2 System.The spatula and spoon are family durable however flexible.I’ve used the spoon to prepare and serve everything from freeze dried food.the spatula is great for pan frying fish or the day one bacon and eggs.The cutting board is very durable and is not likely to break when flexed however it will scar if you aren't careful with a knife.The towel dries remarkably fast I don't use it for anything other than drying and cleanup after cooking.The salt and pepper shaker is fairly sturdy and does not leak loose salt or pepper out. however it does poor kind of fast so be careful.Lastly the soap bottle is a bit small it’s good for a basic kit but for a MSR Quick 2 System it not enough for me I tend to bring a bigger bottle.The downfall on this product has to be the folding mechanism on the utensils. It tends to make it difficult to clean as bits of everything tend to get in the hinges.Note: This kit doesn't come with the grater "useless" or knife "must have" as the larger kits do. I highly recommend getting putting a scrub brush/cloth in the bag it makes cleaning easier. I also purchased a MSR Kitchen Knife and dish brush to complete my kit. it for anything other than drying and cleanup after cooking.

This was a totally worthwhile addition to my backpack, I'm very happy with it. The bag even has a little extra room for a few other food related odds and ends.

Love the spatula and soup spoon. Salt and pepper are critical. Quality oil bottle too. Nice to have a cutting board.

Excellent product, everything fits nicely in the included bag and seems to be a good combination of light weight and durable construction.

The spatula takes a bit of getting used to and knowing when to use it upside-down, but it is fine for eggs and small pancakes in a 10" or less skillet. I will likely buy another like it when this one wears out in a couple years. Contrary to my expectations, the hinge and clip is holding up fine, the front and side edges are wearing out instead.The salt and pepper shaker are about right for a 6 day trip for two people. They do allow a bit of moisture in, so you'll need to add a bit of rice for the trip and empty them between trips to prevent clumping.The soap bottle works as expected. I keep it in a snack-sized bag to help keep the stickiness to almost nothing.I hadn't found a use for the spoon after 18 days camping so I stopped bringing it.The cutting board is too small to be practical.The scraper is awesome, I will be buying another when this one wears out. I expect it will go for at least another 5-6 weeks of camping.The towel is okay; it is just enough out of square to set off OCD people.

The spatula melted immediately upon used to make pancakes. The spoon is nice, but most of the other items are not as useful as I hoped.

Arrived with tree sap / gunk on it? Everything else though looks great about the product. Spatula and spoon seem sturdier than I expected and it’s a nice little carrying case
