Rapesco 1487 500 Heavy Duty Tape Dispenser with 2 Tape Rolls, Candy Pink

Great quality tape dispenser. I had my original one of this brand for years and it was an absolute staple on birthdays and Christmases when I was wrapping presents. The blades stay sharp, the weighted bottom means that it doesn’t tip over and you can use it one handed and I liked the baby pink colour in my office. Very easy to replace the tape and seems to work with any standard role of tape from the shop as the inside wheel is slightly smaller on one side which means you can push the role onto it until it’s wide enough that it stays nice and tight. The only reason I have to replace was because my daughter dropped it on one of her many occasions of stealing it for her craft work and broke the pin which holds the tape in the dispenser. Unable to find it, I couldn’t fix it so had to buy another but went straight back for the one I bought a couple of years before. It’s a good size without being too bulky, it cuts tape perfectly, it grips onto the table without sliding about everywhere, the colour looks nice, fits Most generic office Sellotape sizes and good value!

Excellent product, I have been using my original one for over 5 years with no issues and have bought several more since for various workplaces. Still cuts the tape as well as when it was new. Saves me a lot of faff trying to find the end of the tape and stops me using my teeth ripping it! Good weight to it, so it doesn't tip, be careful if you drop it near your feet as it will hurt you. Came with a couple of rolls of basic quality tape, did the job. Recommended.

The Rapesco 1486 500 Heavy Duty Tape Dispenser is a solid, no-nonsense desk accessory designed for regular office and home use. It does exactly what a tape dispenser should do—reliably and efficiently. Pros: • Sturdy and heavy base: The weighted design keeps the dispenser firmly in place, allowing true one-handed operation without slipping. • Sharp cutting blade: Cuts tape cleanly and smoothly every time, with no fraying or uneven edges. • Includes 2 tape rolls: A nice bonus that lets you start using it straight out of the box. • Good build quality: Feels durable and well-made, suitable for frequent use in busy environments. • Simple, functional design: No gimmicks—just practical and effective. Cons: • Basic appearance: Functional rather than stylish; not ideal if aesthetics matter. • Large footprint: Takes up a bit more desk space than lightweight plastic dispensers.

Good quality and it is weighty - so doesn’t move about when you’re using it. The little teeth are sharp so tape it easy to rip off. Normal sized tape fits on just fine. I really like the pale blue colour!

I knew that the way to find the bits missing from my old tape dispenser was to order a new one and right on cue they appeared. I now have an upstairs and downstairs tape dispenser. Which I agree is ludicrous Ultimately you just can’t live without one of these, especially as a parent, and this one is great-stable, cuts well, good price. The fact it came with sellotape was a double bonus.

As described ,good value for money, heavy so it doesn't move easily and it holds the tape well.

This tape dispenser is heavy and feels solid and durable and sits firmly on my desk without any movement, or sliding about. It comes with 2 rolls of tape which fit into the dispenser and with a sharp cutter, the tape rips off easily and neatly. It is very easy to dispense the tape, and the compact size does not take up too much space. I think this is excellent value. It looks good and works well.
