My Lovely Pan
I bought my Tefal Frying Pan last August, but wanted to give it a good test before writing a full review. I'm happy to say that I love this pan. Originally purchased to stop fat splashing on the cooker, it's very versatile and large enough for making stews, pasta dishes etc. And it does protect the hob from most of the splatters, so less cleaning. Great for stir fries. Large enough for a couple of steaks, fried onion, tomatoes, mushrooms with room to spare. My only worry was the weight as I have problems with my hand joints. It's large enough, but not too heavy. Luckily, the handle on the front, makes lifting easy, even with contents. Watch though, as both can get very hot as metal conducts the heat. Just be aware. The handle design is great though and very solid. I treat it with great care - only using wooden or silicone implements - NEVER use metal or scratchy things in it, but I wouldn't anyway with non-stick pans. I don't scrape hard at all as I want it to last. Once I've finished cooking, I boil a kettle and soak the pan on the cooker. Then I add a little amount of washing up liquid and bring the pan back to the boil, soak a little longer then rinse and wash. I can manage to lift it safely half full of water to the sink. I know it can also go in the oven, however it would need to be a largish one. It doesn't fit in mine at all, but I never bought it for that purpose, so doesn't bother me. I would say this is one of the best things I've bought for the kitchen and it has made life a lot easier. I love cooking with it.

If this was a bass guitar, Davie504 would love it!
Honestly, I've never had a better pan/pot/whatever. It oozes quality - very impressed. It truly is an all-in-one, you can cook anything anyhow in this thing. It's pretty big, but not too big. I have a small 4-hob oven - this fits properly in one space without restricting the others. It literally doesn't 'stick'... it seems to wipe clean in one go no matter what I cook, or how charred I leave it - it's brillirant. I've had mine a couple of months so far and there is absolutely no sign of wear and tear anywhere, and I am using it daily. I might actually buy another one of these and replace some of my other pots/pans... not joking! Only negative is the cheap heat stand it comes with. It does the job but it feels like a piece of trash.

One Pan to rule them all - so many uses
Love love love this pan Deep sides and huge cooking surface make it very very versatile Frying - huge area to cook and deep sides to reduce splatter Batch cooking - 1kg mince, 300g bacon, 500g carrots, onions, water. All sitting beautifully in the pan. Stirring without splashing. Browning the mince was such a delight. Easy to clean - the super tough coating suffered well when i burnt the mince. Indeed as my other non stick pans wear out they will be traded in for this coating. The squarish shape is excellent. Things do not catch in the corners. And makes frying bacon easier. I have not tried to steam yet. But this beast could swallow a chicken whole and have room for vege. Or a lovely ham hock. Small negative the knob on the glass lid is hot. But this is what makes it oven safe. This was bought on special offer. Knowing what i know now i would happily buy it full price.

Excellent and versatile product - but poor quality control and no support from Tefal
I have purchased this pan during sale for £30, and let me tell you - it's absolutely worth it. Super versatile, pretty much all in one as advertised, quality is outstanding, it is large and suitable for large portions. Cooking is easy, nothing sticks, steaming even easier. I can easily see this pan lasting ages - coating is far, far better than typical Teflon coating and I can't recommend it enough really. Why 4 stars then? Poor quality control - our set had missing 1 spring leg for the steaming attachment and Tefal failed to respond/send it. I've used stainless steel screw and bolt instead, and Amazon was brilliant as always providing small discount to compensate, but Tefal should step up their game and at least respond to their customers. All in all, highly recommended, especially when on sale.

Versatile and brilliant
This pan is excellent. Normally we use two frying pans to batch cook chilli etc. But due to the size of this pan we now only need the one. Also because it’s so deep there is very little splashing which makes cleaning the hob much less of a chore. Now for the two niggles. Probably to be expected but the knob on the glass lid does get extremely hot and those of us with white ceramic sinks need to take extreme care when putting the pan down to dry off after washing. The pan had only been placed very carefully on the drainer but it managed to leave grey marks from the metal. It took around 20 minutes of serious scrubbing to remove them. In future I will dry and put away immediately after washing.

Good pan
I was looking for a new saute pan as well as a new steamer and this ticked both boxes so I thought I'd give it a go. I should say from the offset this pan is really large and the handle on the opposite side from the regular handle makes it even bigger so it is a bit of a struggle to fit on my stovetop. That said I can turn it sideways and it makes it usable. The pan itself is fantastic, nothing sticks to it and the steamer function is great for making steamed buns or dumplings etc. The pan is robust and well made and very heavy. I've had other Tefal pans in the past and this one is significantly better than those cheaper purchases. It's very high sided so can be awkward for some users but actually better for all those i.e. Curry, pasta etc. I've also use this to make dishes that you start on the stove and finishing the oven because the pan can go in the oven as well. It's really useful in this way in that I only end up having to clean one pan rather than multiple dishes, always welcome.

Schlechtester Kauf ever...
