Not plastic!
Great little light at a great price, easy peasy install. Mostly metal, 2 settings, 360 head rotation, cool light and you can move the arm to hold in different positions . Yes, it could be brighter but perfect for reading in bed. UPDATE: almost a year later and working just fine.

Great auxiliary reading light
I was a little hesitant, after reading reviews for this, but thought I'd take a chance because of the low price, and my great experience with all sorts of LED lighting products. Receive from Amazon quickly, and perfectly packed. Did not find ANY of the negative attributes referred to in the reviews: installed without problems in 15 minutes with a drill and screwdriver. Its amply bright for night time reading, and found that once I set the color temperature and brightness level, all I have to do is switch it on and off. No heat emission that's noticeable. I can see that I may have to open the box (2 scews), and tighten the hex nut that holds the flexible tube to the wall mounted body, as it appears to potentially loosen up from adjusting the flexible tube for different positions; but, so far, after a month, it seems to be about as loose as it MAY get (and, after the first few adjustments, doesn't appear to be any more loose, and don't anticipate many more adjustments). All in all, pretty darned good little lamp for the price of a hamburger lunch!!! Now, let's see how long it lasts; I'd be surprised if it's any less durable than all of my other LED lighting stuff.

GREAT little light!
This light is a really good value, I bought a different one prior to this one at more than double the price, and it was defective, wouldn't stay on, and the light was FAR too bright. This one has 10 levels of brightness, 3 different light color selections (daylight, warm amber, and combination) and is flexible to put the light right where you want it!

Exceeded expectations in quality and performance.
Worked as described and better than other units that I have tried that cost much more and didn't have as much brightness or a dimming control. I used the lamp in my bathroom to augment the medicine cabinet and overhead lights to make shaving and examination of eyes and teeth much easier. A minor shortcoming is that the lamp head would not hold its position well if it were rotated, even slightly, on its threaded shaft to better aim its direction. I corrected this by gently removing the lamp head from its threaded mount and wrapping a folded piece of yellow ( a little heavier type than white) teflon tape several times around the threaded shaft to provide some friction against such spontaneous movement. Works fine but the manufacturer could eliminate this issue simply by including a friction producing small rubber o-ring on the shaft before attaching the head.

OK lamp with some flaws
On the surface, a nice inexpensive wall mounted reading lamp. Variable color temperature, brightness. Longer flexible neck than most. The problems begin when you mount the lamp to your wall. Two rather small plastic anchors are included. They really aren't strong enough when mounting to 1/2" drywall which is what most of us have in our homes. I turned the mounting fixture from horizontal to vertical so I could get two longer screws through the drywall into a stud. This is fine until you see that the flexible neck is secured by one nut with no means to prevent it from turning or loosening the nut. As there is a cable running through the nut you can't just add a lock washer to help secure the flexible neck. I loosened the nut a couple of turns (14mm open end wrench). I then took an internally toothed lock washer and cut out part of the washer making into a C shape. I dropped this in between the nut and the lamp base, added a couple of drops of LokTite or similar thread locker and tightened the nut as much as I could in the restricted space. This seems to secure the flexible neck from turning. Don't try this with a split lock washer as these are made with much harder material and will be difficult to cut. The toothed lock washer digs into the aluminum base and the nut helping to prevent loosening. After mounting, I noticed that the lamp housing can easily unscrew from the end of the flexible neck. I would recommend loosening the lamp housing a turn or two (carefully as there is a small cable there) and add another drop or two of thread locker. Retighten the lamp housing. The light the lamp makes is enough to illuminate a book for reading but doesn't have much range. One final problem: the little control has a bright blue LED that is on when the lamp is off. It's irritating to me at night when I'm trying to sleep, so I put a bit of black plastic electrical tape over it. This works and seems to be OK as the LED doesn't generate much heat. The thin tape doesn't interfere with the push buttons. Well, this seems like a lot of effort to go to to make a $20 lamp work right. The other similar lamps offered have much shorter flexible necks and wouldn't work for me.

Not bright at all!
Horrible ... don't bother. It may be good as a nightlight or a reading light, but as a desk light not even close to bright enough. My monitor lights up my desk more than this light. The cord is annoyingly short. I mounted this over my monitors so I could use the goose neck to pull it down when needed it, but I have to reach up under the back of my monitor to turn it on and off. This puppy is going back as soon as I have the time to take it back off the wall.

Inexpensive and versatile light source for cramped areas
I have had one of these for years. It works well in my closet-turned-electronics build/repair shop (probably the world’s smallest!). Anyway, my wife is stuck in the 80s and wanted something to play CDs on, so I fished around and got a 5 CD changer (open top), and gave it to her last Christmas. Bought a remote a few weeks later. Well, with Christmas coming up, she is digging out holiday CDs and wants to start playing them. But she complained she could not make out the names of the buttons on the front of the player (it’s mounted in a low cabinet, with a slide out drawer). So, I got another one, and it works great. Takes up little room, and has the ability to change brightness levels, and coloration. All in all, a sweet deal for as little as it costs. Highly recommended!

Good option for desk light
It lights well and is comfortable to use, with several lighting options. The only downside is that when it was off, there was a very bright light on the switch that was quite annoying. I end up opening it and breaking that led
