TAP is BACK! NEW Formulation Transfer your imagination into art with TAP, Transfer Artist Paper, a premium-quality paper that allows you to iron images onto virtually any surface. Have fun with fabric, paper, wood, glass, metal, and more! Printer-friendly Transfer image with a hot iron to almost any surface Shiny or matte finish Transferred images are crisp and colorfast Washable and crack-resistant on fabric Layer transferred images for a collaged look Available in three different quantities: 5 sheet pack -Perfect for getting your feet wet or a gift for a creative friend 18 sheet pack -18 sheets for a big bang for your buck! 100 sheet pack -For artisans and teachers, this classroom pack is full of value Review: Transfer to felt - Some notes about my project: I am transferring a full color coat of arms onto white felt and attaching it to the back of a display case. This product produced fantastic results. Felt is not one of the recommended fabrics, but the transfer went great. All the small details in my source image were there and the colors were almost as vibrant as the source. I created 1 large image from 2 sheets that we taped together using painters tape. The packaging says that you may have to iron for a while and that was true. For my 12.5 x 11 image, it took 30 minutes to transfer. The paper has to be VERY hot before it will peel off. For a large image like mine, I found it was easier to iron the entire image for a while until it was mostly transferred and then iron as I peeled, so that the paper was extremely hot wherever I peeled. If there is any resistance when you peel, do not try to force it. Just hold the iron on that section for a minute or so and it will peel right up. Your transfer is only going to be as good as the source image, so don't use a copy. Print the source image straight on to the paper. I made a copy and printed that on to the paper for my first attempt and it didn't look as good as when I printed it from the digital source. I needed this to transfer on felt and it did a great job. Any spot that didn't have ink on it transferred clear on to the felt. You can see it in bright direct light, but it wasn't a problem for me since my project won't be in direct light. Also, the felt came out stiff, which again, is perfectly acceptable for my project. I won't be washing this, so I can't speak to fading issues raised by others. Always evaluate your needs against the good and bad qualities of the product before buying, but I was ecstatic about how this came out especially considering the fact that my fabric was felt. The price was well worth the results for me. Review: Very Quick and Easy - I waited until the last minute to complete my square for a family quilt project. I was skeptical due to some reviews. As soon as it arrived, I did a test on a small piece of fabric & it worked perfectly. Still somewhat skeptical, I went on to transfer my pic onto the only square of fabric I was given for the project. The image again transferred perfectly, the process was very quick and easy & I am already thinking of other projects to use this with.

Best transfer paper I've used so far
Best transfer paper I've used so far. I didn't have to do the "wait two minutes for it to cool" thing with this paper. The images set immediately and in some cases the paper just slid off. That's a bit of a warning as I'm used to transfers that are a bit stickier and slip around once you start the heat process. These will move if you're not careful. I do feel they are a bit pricey, but the results I experienced were great. When I've used other transfer sheets, I had to trim my image very closely to keep the excess transfer from showing, but these seem to be absorbed by the fabric so all you see is the image. The only one I had a problem with was on a linen towel. The paper didn't want to lift and when it did, it stretched the fabric. I'm going to wash it and see if it goes back to normal. Most of the time, I am using this medium on unbleached muslin. So far, so good.

LOOVE this stuff. Perfect for image transfer on fabric
This is the best stuff ever!! It prints on and stays soft and flexible unlike the iron on sheets you get at the fabric store. I used these to transfer cute quotes onto canvas bags and knit t-shirts and they look awesome! So glad I found this product. I am immediatley buying more!! update: I've added a picture. You can see that the ink isn't super solid in a few spots, it looks more vintage. It washes well and doesn't peel. I've also tried modge podge transfer medium and hated it! It's basically thick white paint that transfers the ink but in some places it will buckle and other places it peels off. The TAP paper has been perfect for my needs. My tip with using it is to keep the iron moving slowly over the whole picture don't just set it in one place. I had a couple of projects where I left the iron in one spot for a while and there is a thin line in the shape of an iron where it didn't transfer as well as the rest of it. Also, iron it for a while, until the paper starts looking more transparent.

Wow! This paper is amazing!
As a sculptor and mixed media artist I'm not afraid to experiment with alternative processes as I consider ways to get map imagery onto fabric but I've had a frustrating week trying different approaches. I just tried a sheet of this paper on Lutradur (a translucent non woven material), a very fine "peace" silk, and a very gauzy, slubby lightweight cotton drapery material. First of all, the colors printed true onto the TAP sheet using plain paper/standard settings, and that's no small benefit. Secondly it was snap to use. Finally, the image quality is amazing. It does change the hand of the fabric (making it smoother and stiffer) although fabric is supposed to become softer after washing. I can't wait to try this with a hand drawn image (you can use watercolors, acrylics, crayons, pencils, etc. Just get some and try it out!

Well--I Don't Know--Maybe It's Right For Something Or Someone--No, Actually, I Don't Thing So, And I Hate It
This is the third time I've amended my review of this item. I started at two stars because it just wasn't working properly, at least the results were not consistent with the product insert and description on-line. After a few more tries I had some hope so I came back, edited the review and raised the item to 3 stars. Subsequently, I've experimented more with this transfer paper, and now can award this stuff the ONE STAR it deserved in the first place. I really do hate this product because IT DOESN'T WORK AS DESCRIBED AND THE DIRECTIONS DO NOT BRING YOU ANYWHERE NEAR A GOOD, QUALITY RESULT. I wasted a lot of time and material futzing with this stuff and products that don't work and waste my time end up on my 'I Hope They Go Out Of Business Soon' list. I can honestly say, after giving it a very fair, unbiased try, it is one of the worst products I may have ever purchased. I tried image transfers to raw muslin, canvas, stretched canvas, canvas panels, t-shirt material, linen napkins and several other backings that, according to the product description and instructions printed on the package insert should have produced at least one clean transfer. Yes, the printed material does indicate not all material works, some inks are problematic and so on. I experimented with a full range of heat settings on my iron (not, it's not a steam iron--you can't use steam). There was not a single combination of material or heat setting that produced a clean, clear transferred image. Having worked with lots of art materials over the years and produced a good number of commercial pieces, I suspect when I cannot get a consistently good, reliable result using a product, at least some of the time or at minimum once. In my work with multi-media art as well as photography and printing, I use two ink-jet printers of different makes; each uses a different type of ink. I printed every test image (over fifty) on each printers to determine if poor results were due to the inks, print density or printer settings. Not a single image from either printer produced a clean, clear image on the intended target material. I also hand-painted some images using thinned acrylic colors and charcoal pencil (gently) directly onto the transfer medium and, while the image looked bright, clean and ready on the transfer sheet, when placed on the target substrate and ironed, not one transfer turned out with any reliable quality or clarity. None were could be used in any project I'd planned to use this stuff for. And Finally: Perhaps this product works for someone, somewhere in the Milky Way Galaxy. After all, there are so many great and glowing reviews for this stuff. I do not get it. This product's reviews are, in my opinion, undeserved based on my experience with it. I do have a suggestion for the manufacturer and folks that wholesale this stuff. Here it is: Listen folks, cut a 300 yard sheet of this stuff about half the present width. Do not cut it horizontally every eleven inches, just let it be one long piece with perforations about every four inches. When you've got the 300 yards, roll it onto a cardboard tube, package it in fours, and re-position the marketing strategy and promote it for a use where it might actually work as directed.

Perfect results!
I couldn't figure out how to put a design on the outside of a wine bottle in order to etch it, since I didn't want to cut the bottle in order to fit the design on a piece of paper and put inside the bottle. I ordered this carbon paper and it worked great! I put a sheet under my design and cut it to size, then retraced over my design and it transferred to the glass wine bottle perfectly!!!! Will be ordering more!

Impressive quality and so easy (and I'm a newbie!)
I debated whether I should get the 5-sheet pack or the 18-sheet pack, as this isn't cheap. But neither are the results!! As soon as I transferred my first vintage illustration on my slipcover, I was so excited that I started finding other projects I could do. Next on my list? A vintage coral illustration on an existing linen pillow. Graphics Fairy (Karen at [...]), an experienced DIYer with transfers, highly recommended this paper and so I went with it. It's washable and durable and not stiff or flaky, and the background is transparent. All in all, forgiving and easy to use product. Will need more!

El mejor en calidad / precio.
Me ha ido genial para transferir unos logotipos a unas camisetas baratas. Pero una vez hice eso, me animé para hacerlo en otras prendas y el resultado fue sorpendente. 100% recomendado.

Love this paper
Love this paper! It is so much better than the other iron on papers. The image doesn't have that plastic feel and it looks more professional. It's a little more pricey but definitely worth it for the quality. I've used it for a few items for my business and they have all turned out great and they wash up well!

It worked perfectly on a white T-shirt, but not a red one.
I am new to this, so I don't want to be too harsh on the product. The problem may have been in the T-shirt I used - was it suitable for this job? I bought some excellent Fruit of the Loom Men Full-Sleeve Valueweight T Shirt in Red. I followed the instructions that came with the Transfer Artist Paper. It would have helped if they could print on the paper what side to print on, or not print on. Just saying white was not helpful as to my eyes, ;-) , one side was grey and the other side a bit creamy - like both were different shades of white. Anyway, I printed the image that I wanted using an Epsom Stylus PHOTO R265 with new ink cartridges. I then cut around the image to reduce the amount of clear polymer that would be around the image after ironing. I heated my Iron to maximum and ironed the back of the image. I gave it a good go and the image felt hot enough. On pealing off the Transfer Artist Paper, I noticed that the colours had not transferred to the T-shirt. Why I don't know, but it could be that the ink and T-shirt Dye mixed together. So, wanting to be fair, I got an old white M&S T-shirt (vest). I followed the same procedure and hoped for the best (I am always trying to be positive). The results can be seen in the photo. Clearly, the colour of the T-shirt does matter. My problem now is this, what T-shirt other than white will this TAP work on - Answers from other users would be helpful.

Also zwei Daumen hoch!
