Could this be broadcast spread for frost seeding?

Half of this mix consists of clovers which are legumes. Besides perennial rye grass, Legumes are the go-to varieties for frost seeding, specifically white clovers and red clovers which are in this mix. Hairy Vetch can also be frost seeded which is in this mix. This all assumes the right conditions and methods are implemented of course. However, this mix does contain buckwheat which is NOT recommended for frost seeding. If this mix were to be broadcast for frost seeding (aka dormant seeding), we would be confident in the clovers' and hairy vetch's viability in frost seeding. We would, however, temper expectations for the other varieties in this mix as this mix was simply not designed for frost seeding so we have not tested this mix in that environment yet. For this mix, planting in autumn or early spring would be best. We will definitely be looking into and experimenting with frost seed-friendly mixes in the future!

Each 1-lb bag has enough seeds to fill the entire surfaces of 45 to 91 five-gallon fabric containers (depending on if you're using a half tablespoon to a full tablespoon per square foot).

(Typical 5-gallon fabric containers are 12 inches in diameter. Since a circle with a 12-inch diameter equates to 0.79 square feet, that means 5-gallon fabric containers have about 0.79 square feet of surface area. We suggest broadcasting anywhere from a half-Tablespoon to a full Tablespoon per square foot)
