How does the disc attach to the plate, and how easy is it to change out?

The discs attach using adhesive backed peel and stick abrasive discs A heat gun makes the process of changing the disc’s a little easier as it will soften the adhesive and make it easier to peel off.

All metal construction? Or is it cheap plastic?

All metal except for the plastic switch housing.

How strurdy is the table? Does it tilt when a little pressure is applied? Is miter slot tight or sloppy?

It is sturdy, a little bit pressure will not move it. It took me a few minutes to adjust the table. The screws on the side to tilt it are a bit in an akward position. I leave it at a 90 degreee angle, measure it almost every time I use it.
