Carson MiniMight 6x18mm Pocket Monocular with Carabiner Clip (MM-618)

I live in the country where there are lots of birds. I have a very good set of binoculars for birding, but they don’t focus closer than about 20 yards. Great for distant birds, but I couldn’t see the birds that landed close in my back yard, so I couldn’t identify them. With this tiny monocular I can easily observe the small birds I couldn’t focus on with the binoculars. The focus ring is smooth and brings in a sharp image. Surprisingly good optics. Not a very wide field of view, but that’s not a problem, since I only want to look at one bird at a time. Field is wide enough that spotting the small birds is not a problem. I like the very small size. I can have my binoculars for longer range, but when I need to see something much closer, this little monocular stows easily in a pocket and is quickly accessible. Not great for longer distances (but not bad, all things considered). Not for prolonged use, since you have to keep one eye closed. It works great for what I need.

Wanted something small to take when traveling. For enjoying the view and watching wild life. This works great for my intended use. Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Included a case and a cleaning cloth. When purchasing the ROXANT Mini-Monocular I also purchased a Carson Mini-Monocular to compare. They are about the same quality and price. Either is a great purchase I highly recommend. They are about the same size, smaller than I expected for the viewing quality, amazing. The Carson is only three inches long! The Roxant is slightly shorter (see my comment regarding the eye cup) which might be the reason for the slight difference. The Carson is a little heavier and because of its shape and a little wider, not as conveniently sized as the Roxant. However, the shape is very comfortable to hold. And the extra weight makes it FEEL as though it is better quality. The packaging on the Carson was very difficult to open. The Roxant was in a simple box, no problem! The eye cup on the Carson is a longer, at least twice as long as the Roxant. This makes the Carson easier to use (and slightly longer). When I hold the Roxant against my eye, in bright light, it reflects my eyelashes. Making the Roxant a little more difficult to use than the Carson. The Carson can be rested on the eye socket. Therefore, it is easier to hold the Carson still for better focus at a distance. The Roxant case was much smaller and more convenient than the Carson case. However, the Carson case is made of canvas and I'm guessing a soft polester interior. The case from the Roxant is either plastic or rip stop (hope it is ripstop). It also has a soft interior. But does not appear to be as good of quality as the Carson case. Decent eye relief, definitely nothing crazy but it’s pretty fun and versatile. The size helps that you can toss it in any bag but binoculars would be better in almost all use cases. Only as stable as your hands are

I have only 1 eye and this thing is beautiful 😍 its not heavy you can bring it anywhere and pocket sized. Throw it in the car or a backpack and you can see very well.. its adjustable as well

It was a bit of a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, it works, and it's light and tiny, which is what I wanted. But I'd say that the magnification is too much for this kind of a device. It makes the field of view so narrow, that nearby objects are hard to locate, and while it lets you see distant objects, the magnification magnifies the hand shaking as well, which in turns makes it hard to see clearly at a distance too. Pehaps 3x to 4x would be the sweet spot. Ended up giving it away.

I don’t normally write reviews unless I hate or love a product. Let me tell you I love this little monocular! I use it in a plant where I need to see little things sometimes from a distance and this little guy fits the bill! Small, portable but powerful enough to let me see clearly. I would totally buy but hope I don’t need to!

Good stuff I’ve come to expect from Carson however after 7 months of light use the correcting/focus lens came loose inside the scope and image is blurry making essentially a disposable scope. Don’t waste your money on this scope spend the extra for the next level up from Carson because you are likely to regret buying the cheapest Carson scope available

The Carson 6x18 monocle is handy to keep in your bag, camper, or car. It comes with a protective case and it has an adjustable eyepiece. It works well to view wildlife and birds at a distance. We also use it at sporting events when our old eyes cannot read jersey numbers or the scoreboard. It is not a replacement for a good pair of binoculars but it comes in handy when you want to focus in on something at a distance. It is compact at 2"x4" when it is in the case. We have used this monocular many times since purchase.

Great little device for the price, compact, 3" long, fits in your pocket, high quality clear image, easy to focus.. At a 6 x 18 magnification, image is steady. Good value. Comes with carrying case, lens cleaning cloth, clip. So handy.

Great little monocular. Very light, you can attach it to your belt and hardly notice it. Easy to focus,. Though it is listed as only six times magnification, it allows you to see so much more then with the naked eye. Excellent value for money.

Das Ding ist wirklich "übelst" klein und leicht. :D Für den Vorteil, dass man das Monokular immer dabei habe kann, erkauft man sich den Nachteil, dass es etwas Übung bedarf, um es wackelfrei in der Hand zu halten. Da kann aber jetzt das gute Teil nicht für. Von daher auch keinen Punktabzug. Die 6er Vergrößerung reicht in den meisten Fällen vollkommen aus und hat den Vorteil etwas weniger zu verwackeln als größere Vergrößerungen. Ich hab's immer dabei, um mal die Rehe etwas näher zu sehen, wenn ich mit dem Hund spazieren gehe. Wer etwas mehr Platz in der Tasche hat für den ist das B06XT7M6P5 auch eine gute Empfehlung. Ein 10x25 Binokular mit dem ich auch sehr zufrieden bin.

Grossissement et luminosité satisfaisants ,néanmoins l’œilleton est légèrement deformé et n’est pas parfaitement circulaire. Gros point négatif sans lien avec la qualité elle-même: le sachet plastique à l’intérieur du carton est fortement déchiré et a visiblement été ouvert à la main grossièrement pour je ne sais quelle raison (tentative de spoliation?). Le carton était fermé mais semble pouvoir être ouvert et refermé comme si de rien n’était,car pas de bande collante par dessus la fermeture. Cela semble n’avoir eu aucun impact sur l’objet mais je suis inquiet car JAMAIS eu le cas…
