Yes, the white adapter is two pieces. It will fit normal inside threaded faucets (typically bathroom). Or outside threaded faucets (typically kitchen). You unscrew the aerator from the faucet.

Will this work to drain a water bed?

I would not bother with this kit to drain a waterbed. Use a siphon effect. Insert a garden hose into the waterbed. You may need to cut off the end of the hose. Fill the hose up with water from a facet. Do not let the water drain out of the hose yet. Do that by placing a kink into the hose when it is full of water, or your thump over the end of the full hose. Take the end of the hose which is not in the waterbed off the facet, and place the hose lower than the hose in the waterbed. Release and let the water flow out -- the water will siphon out, and continue to drain the waterbed.
