Excellent! (And some recommendations for use)
Best pill cutter I've found. It keeps the pills neatly lined up and holds them in place to allow an accurate cut. With that said, I've found a couple techniques that help ensure success.Use the cutter on as solid a surface as possible. Initially I used it on my kitchen table but it had a slight bounce to it. The results were good but not great with some unevenly cut pills. Once I switched to using it granite counter top, the results were even better.Next, use a firm quick push down to cut the pills. Some pills will always make some dust but the corn quick push works best. Finally, oval pills need to be put in several at a time to they stay in place crosswise to the blade. Doing one of two will result in the Spring action rails (which holds the pills in place) will cause then to turn. But I'm VERY happy with this cutter!!

works as advertised, A+++, took some getting used to briefly
WOW. so i have been splitting pills for some years, one is a coated sort of rounded pill and the other is a regular scored uncoated white pill. i needed a pill cutter for the coated one. The white one i try to do with my finger nails because the pill cutter doesn't do a good job of it. always frustrating, one out of 20 times it comes out about right. so i have continued to use a cheap one i got at CVS and later i got the same kind on Amazon. It worked ok, not great, in the sense it didn't cut evenly and i needed evenness, pretty uniform doses. I got another one on Amazon, basically the same functioning as the first one, not very even, and the blad gets dull so that it gets worse over time. But the blade would wear out before too long. Now, in the past month my previously healthy almost 13 year old dog got right sided congestive heart failure and severe pulmonary hypertension and he's supposed to be on 4 meds, one of which i have to split--the form it comes in is called "Quads" and it's scored to cut in quarters. Doing it with my finger nails was too inexact. The usual pill cutter about the same. So i came to Amazon and i only looked at the ones with 4.5 star reviews. This was one of the top reviewed ones. The reviews sounded really good. And there was the ability to cut multiple pills at once. Too good to be true, yet so many happy reviewers. $30??? ok, it's my dog and he's in real trouble and needs his meds to be right. so i ordered it. It was delivered very fast .So, i got into trying it out right away. This is probably just me, brain dead from recent stress. but i had a hard time figuring out how to open it in order to put the pills in. The instructions on the box didn't help. i found a video on line and still didn't have the concept of it, the specific way you push on the ends of the cutter to have it open up. Slowly, i found how to do it but then would immediately forget, even watching it on the video. For me, it was counterintuitive. But finally i started getting the feel for it and the concept of it. not rocket science but for me, at that point in time, it took me about 20 to 30 minutes to get it figured out solid. i experienced frustration. No doubt just the difficulties i have been having getting the medications right, like giving it to him and then later finding it on the floor (one of the three pills) , or me just forgetting to give all of them to him, there are 4 different occasions throughout the day. i sometimes outright forgot, even setting a timer. So i got a great app that reminds you which also took a long time to get set up but now is good.i really don't think it's that hard to open this cutter to put pills in it, i think my difficulties were caused by my anxiety unrelated to the pill cutter. i was pushing on the sides the way i thought it should work and nothing happened. press real hard, no response. So once i could easily open and close it, i followed the instructions and put several pills in it. i hadn't really thought i wanted a multiple pill cutter, just a well functioning single pill cutter would be a dream come true. The first cut i made was uneven. i tried it again more carefully and it was as close to perfect as i could want. I got a bunch more, all excellent, so now i have a big collection of doses and i don't have to think about it anymore. Thank you Multiple Pill Splitter for greatly improving my quality of life.I then went to my own pills, the coated ones that are hard as a rock. they are rounded, no flat surfaces. so ididn't think they could be cut accurately in the position this pill cutter uses. i put a bunch in there and they were split as equally as i could need, i couldn't see difference in them, not what i'm used to. Before this pill cutter, i was always taking the larger piece and breaking a bit off of it to add to the smaller piece. :(Now, i have a huge collection of evenly cut half pills. This is one of those really good product experiences that makes me feel happy when i think about it. It totally works, way better than hoped for or imagined. i didn't even realize how wonderfut it would be to have a supply of already split pills and not have to even think about cutting them.i have only used it on those few attempts on the day i got it so i don't know if it holds up, but i can see that i'm not even going to have to use it very often because it cuts so many at once so i'm expecting it to last. If i have any unreasonably negative experiecnes or unsupported customer service, i'll update the review, but i do not expect to have any problem. Solid easy to use multi pill cutter with great blade.

Absolutely the best for small, hard pills
My itty-bitty (8 lb) dog has gotten old. :-( She is 15 now and while she is still very healthy, arthritis has made her life a lot less pleasant. We started giving her liquid Metacam (meloxicam), which is the easiest way to treat a small dog, given the small dose she needs, but it’s a little pricey and she frankly dislikes the syringe and maybe the taste too, so we switched to Novox (carprofen), because she takes a wrapped pill very readily. Unfortunately, the smallest caplet is 25mg, and she only needs 1/4 of one. The 1/2 tab is easy, because they’re scored for that, but halving that half was a nightmare with cheap pill cutters. The pills are relatively hard, and so, so small. Sometimes they’d split nicely, but more often they’d shift when the blade came down and I’d just cut off little pieces and end up with 2/3 of a pill and a few shards. So frustrating. But this one - this one is awesome! You line up your little halves in a neat row and carefully slide the two holders together. The pills are firmly held in the middle. Put the cap with the blade on over them, give a firm, quick push down in the middle, and voilà! Perfectly halved halves, a bunch at a time! (I do 7, a week’s worth.) No crumbling, no uneven splitting, just 14 pills of the exact same size. I couldn’t be happier. I just hope the blade doesn’t dull too soon - but when it does, I’ll replace this pill cutter with the same one.

Must have 🙂
Works like a charm. I'd put it on a table 1st. Then, it stays 'open' after a quick 'click', you line up your pills, replace top with blade and give a firm push down and then BOOM! All of your pills are split! Totes worth it!

Outstanding
This is a US-designed and made product, but that aside it's a precision tool that justifies the price--built more like a bona fide medical device than a cheap gizmo. I bought it to split extended release tablets with a rounded profile and strong/slick coating, and it absolutely nailed it. So much easier than my hit or (mostly) miss luck with drugstore-purchased one-pill splitters. A real time saver and so much more precise. Seems heavy duty. Hope it will last for years.

Quality long-lasting product
I purchased this item in 2016, nearly 9 years ago. It has worked so well and has been used regularly. After those 9 years of use, the blade has become a bit dull and the springs aren't quite as springy as they were and it takes more effort to push the top portion down to cut the pills, so I'm ordering another one. Blade replacements don't seem to be available. But it's a quality product, reliable, convenient , sturdy, Highly recommend.
