Overall, it’s reliable, travel‑friendly,
I’ve been using this product for over a year now, and it’s definitely an improvement over hand‑washing my hard contacts. When I used to clean them manually, I’d sometimes end up with tiny fibers from towels or tissues sticking to the lenses. This device helps prevent that, especially if you keep it clean. I also like that it’s portable and can run on rechargeable batteries. I added my own rechargeable batteries since they aren’t included, and it’s been great for travel. I’ve flown with it several times without any issues. My only complaints are the R and L placement, which just feels odd when using the product, and the recommendation to replace certain parts for maximum effectiveness. I’ve never replaced anything, and while the rubber pieces aren’t as firm as when they were new, I still haven’t had any problems with debris or particles getting into my eyes when putting my lenses in after drying my hands. And to be fair, it’s a fairly decent product when you consider that there aren’t many automatic cleaners available for hard contacts.

Some improvement ... jury's still out whether worth the ongoing maintenance costs/investment
I've had trouble with my rgp lenses lately where after 8-10 hours of wear they're almost unbearable ... uncomfortable/gritty feeling, and vision blurry. Even when I first put them in-- some days are better than others-- but they're often uncomfortable, right off the bat. Tried lots of different lens cleaners/solutions/etc... some better than others, but still having issues with discomfort and blurry vision. Figured it was time to pony up the $$ for this VueSonic kit to see if it might help. Been using it a few weeks now, and have noticed some improvement. The lenses just "look" noticeably cleaner & clearer after running through the VueSonic (vs. cleaning by hand). When I put the contacts in my eyes the next morning, it's quite a bit more comfortable... and they do seem to "wear better"... i.e. feel comfortable and look clearer for a little longer than they used to.... I can make it through a full day at the office at least, without running into issues. More recently though the VueSonic doesn't seem quite as effective as it was initially. I run the VueSonic every night, and do use the self-cleaning pads every time afterwards. I'm still a ways off from the 3 month mark where it's recommended to replace the silicone components... but wonder if the system is just not as clean/sanitized as it was initially, and so performance is degrading a bit over time. The lens cleaning pads, and the silicone replacements are ongoing maintenance costs with this system, and that makes it a bit of an investment to keep using this. Jury's still out for me on whether the ongoing investment will be worth it, or if I should "keep looking" for a better solution. I think if the performance continues to degrade, and/or if it ends up I need to be replacing the silicone parts more often than 3 months to keep it running up-to-par... this system may not be worth it long-term. Spent the initial $80 for the kit, so I'll stick with it awhile yet /continue evaluating....time will tell. Oh ... one pet peeve, and something to keep in mind if you buy this kit.... the lenses have a strong tendency to "get stuck" at the top part of the system (the "lid" ... as opposed to staying down in "the case"). If you're not very deliberate and conscious about what you're doing when you clean your lenses, and as you flip the lid over to peel off the silicone cushions, and grab the lenses, it's easier than you might believe it would be, to mix up the right and left lenses. Been wearing rgp for many, may years and never once had an issue with a left/right lens mixup until I used this kit. As a workaround, I ended up putting a piece of black duct tape on the top of the lid over the right lens spot, as a more "vibrant" reminder when I flip the top over (if needed...if lenses are stuck to the top/lid) that the right lens may now be sitting where my "muscle memory" would normally expect to find the left. This is a bit tough to explain.... And if someone had given me this warning, I would've ignored it ... "not gonna happen to me ... I'm not that dumb". But, trust me, if you're kind of "going through the motions" ... talking to your wife or kids at same time you're cleaning your lenses, and you get distracted ... it's easier than you might think, to accidentally mix up the left and right lens.

Works great!
LOVE IT! I was a little worried because it only cleans for 2 minutes. I had a different cleaner and it had a few cycles. A 3 minute, 4 hour and 8 hour. I always used the 4 hour setting. But I've had 2 of the other one and they both quit working in under 6 months. Decided to give this one a try and have zero regrets works just as well or better in 2 minutes as the 4 hour one. I just wish you could soak over night in the same case as they were cleaned in. But not to much trouble to move them over to another case for the night.

New idea
Runs for minute or two and stops. I don’t know if worth the money for me.

Just what I was looking for
I've been a gas-permeable contact lens wearer for a long time and have always had problems with dirty contacts. In the past I've used a jewelry sonic cleaner and it helped some, but this product so far is a lot better. The silicone pads seems to be good job holding and rubbing the lenses clean. My only concern is the little disposable cleaning pads that should be used after each use to clean the silicone inside the device as well as the cost to replace the silicone after 3 months of use. ($15 per replacement set) I'll update this review as needed, but my 4/5 rating is only because of costs. 5/5 for how well it works.

That it doesn’t clean as advertised.
It didn’t work as expected at all! 1.It was loud and vibrates violently all over the countertop when I turned it on. 2. It leaked all over the countertop. 3. Contacts were not clean. 4. Design is flawed.

Excellent product
I have used this for 2months now to clean my rigid contact lenses. I use it with Boston cleaner and the result is great. My pinky doesn't hurt anymore from rubbing the lenses every night. Really simple and effective. It'd be great if it had an alarm to remind you that your lens are still in the machine as I sometimes forget about them. This product is great and I'd recommend it to every user of hard lenses.

Very good cleaner but expensive consumables
I found this really good for cleaning my rigid gas permeable lenses. It's simple quick and works well. Cleaning of the cleaner though is a faff and the small plastic pads used for the cleaning process are ridiculously expensive.
