Niles OS5.5 Black (Pr) 5 Inch 2-Way High Performance Indoor Outdoor Speakers.

I just built a house on the lake and i wanted to make sure that my sound system was immaculate, especially for when I host parties. These speakers were for my downstairs patio. I can't get into the technical details of these speakers, but I will say that my job involves me being able to distinguish between the most subtle sounds. These speakers are awesome. My neighbor can hear my music with clarity if I turned it up loud enough. Awesome bass, clear sounds, and the speakers once mounted can be adjusted on a swivel. My initial use for the speakers was strictly for music, but when I sync the speakers with the tv sound, it holds up extremely well for sporting events, tv shows and even movies. I shopped around for comparable speakers, and easily would've spent twice as much. I highly recommend these speakers for your outdoor needs.

Great speakers. I am using these for my dining room and opted to go with these over ceiling or wall mounts due to the limited control (or extra work) entailed to create the correct sound chamber. They are true to spec - meaning they reproduce sound evenly for the range indicated without any hot spot frequencies. If you want solid base you will need to pair these with a subwoofer. However, to provide background dinner music these are great and the price won't set you back too much. I've have an older larger pair of Niles in my garden for the past 10 years - they have withstood the weather and saltwater air (I live in a coastal NE town). I would highly recommend these speakers or any other Niles speaker you might be considering.

We were surprised to see that the size was slightly smaller than the ones we were replacing. The model number was the same as the older ones but know if you are replacing older units they won't match in size. Sound quality is the same so we are satisfied.

I’ve had Cambridge, Boston Acoustics, and Yamaha outdoor speakers. While all decent, these cans produce very rich sound on my deck. Wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again or recommend to a friend. Very nice build quality with some heft to them.

These speakers are easy to install and the brackets can be bent to fit whatever surface they need to be on. Sound quality however is poor. Bass is non existent and treble medium lack clarity.

I had always been interested in Niles Audio for outdoor speakers. With the amazing price from SoCalSpeakerGuy($118/pair!), I can even do an outdoor, surround-sound theater setup without breaking the bank.With its 90db sensitivity, this speaker can play fairly loud without the need of a terribly expensive or powerful amp. The slimmer profile will allow it to hide well under the eaves of the house.Great price, quick delivery and excellent product.

We purchased the speakers awhile ago and were waiting until an update was finished on our stereo system before we hooked them up. We put them out a few days ago and they sound so much clearer, better sound with no distortion than our older ones and we are pleased with our purchase. Our older speakers were much bigger which we didn't much care for. We have ours set up without a cover and are hoping the rain and snow will not be a problem. If something comes up I will post an update.
