Groomer’s Goop Pre-Bath Pet Degreaser (28 oz)

Beagles shed constantly. I shampooed my dog and was amazed at how much hair came off, leaving him smelling great, his fur very soft and at least for a couple of days no hair falling off from him when petting him. I bought to help his stud tail but the first bath didn't make a dent to getting it to heal. Maybe it takes several applications. We will see with next bath. Still I love how clean and fresh he smells and how soft he is now. Beagles are pretty clean most of the time but he rolled in something that did not smell very good! This stuff got rid of all smells including the wet dog smells. I live this stuff.

I was trying to find a product to help my Persian cat's fur look like it belonged in a show – fluffy and not clumping into icicles – but no matter what shampoo I used, the fur would still clump together after a week. Then I finally learned about this product. I studied how to use it and tried it for the first time today. I'm thrilled! For people looking for products for long-haired cats, I think this is a great find. My cat looks completely different before and after. During drying, I already noticed that the fur was very loose, soft, and incredibly fluffy, looking like it really belonged in a show. I'm very happy with this product. The only thing is that there's a slight smell, and my cat reacted to it, but the instructions say to apply the product for only a couple of minutes. I didn't wait 10 minutes; I applied a small amount to his entire body and paws, excluding only his head, waited two or three minutes, massaged it in a little, rinsed it off, and then washed and dried him as usual. It's perfect!

Totally works. I have French bulldogs that like to look under the electric gate and there is a chain so they get grease on their heads. And I have a white boy cat that Looooves to go hang out at the car lot next door, he rubs himself against the tires, under the cars, and lays under the cars. I literally needed something to remove grease.

This is definitely different to the OG I finally have been able to use this product for cats that I do and this feels so much better than the goopy OG version. There is no skin irritation or anything after. No strong fragrance. It’s easy to lather in and definitely helps for greasy Sphynx

Arthritic cat can no longer groom her back so it gets very greasy. This was able to cut through the grease and dander build up like multiple shampooing has never before. She is like a soft fluffy teddybear now. Scent was mild citrus. Followed the treatment by her regular prescribed shampoo.

Highly recommend it worked wonders on my cat

Ordered this for the grooming salon I work at, we got it on a whim just to see if it would work after looking for de-greasing shampoo and not finding anything for pets. We use it mainly around the inner side of the "ear leather" and outside the ear on the cheek for dogs like cockers that are prone to have greasy, nasty ears. I've also used it on older dogs that get that weird grease all over their backs. This product works very well, provided you let it sit long enough. It definitely requires 5+ minutes to really work but when it does, those dogs come out with much cleaner coats and their haircuts come out SO much nicer. Plus, it doesnt dry their skin out.

I’m surprised I don’t hear more pet owners or groomers talking about this stuff. I groom cats and groomers goop has saved me from having to put some of my cat clients through a painful de tangling or in one case, a complete shave down. This is not for heavy matting but I’ve been extremely surprised at some of the knots it has been able to free. The only downside is that the smell is VERY strong and minty. I don’t mind it too much but it can bother the cats, especially since they have to sit and wait for a few minutes with it on. That’s a minor hurdle compared to the alternative option. This is a staple in my grooming bag.

This product I use on my long hair Scotish folds and British long hair cats. It absolutely does what is sais! Difficult areas such as around ears, chin, greesy stud tail...However, needs to be used with other same range products such as shampoo and conditioner to win in a show for best grooming!

My elderly, neutered cat developed stud tail out of nowhere. When used as per the instructions (letting it sit, washing it off etc) this works to solve it for a few months until he has to be washed again. Great product.

Worked well on my smelly cats. You definitely need another shampoo after as it's drying, but gets the grease out of their coat
