I haven't slept without needing sleep aids every day since late 2020. I've tried every prescription sleep aid in the book (trazadone, doxepin, z-drugs etc.) , in addition to melatonin pills (they do nothing for me), magnesium, l-theanine, Gaba, CBD, ashwagandha, valerian root, lemon balm etc. Re: antihistamines: diphenhydramine and doxylamine succinate work for me, but I simply don't want the dementia risk profile associated with long-term use of these drugs. Moreover, re: cannabinoids, I need a whopping dose of CBD for sleep that isn't cost effective or sustainable. THC works, but I can't handle the brain fog or the worry that daily THC use is bad long-term so I was desperate to find *something* other than the above. Lastly, I've done CBT for insomnia and had to quit because being interrogated about my sleep hygiene weekly was stressing me out more. Out of desperation, I started searching reddits re: peoples' experiences and someone with a similar insomnia profile to mine suggested this particular brand of liquid melatonin. The first night I took it with my doxepin pill for insurance for insurance and woke up groggy, but I slept! The next night I decided to ditch the doxepin and just have the melatonin. I'm happy to say it has been about 10 days and I continue to get to sleep using this melatonin alone. For transparency, if I'm extra hyped up before bed, sometimes I'll need a double dose, but generally the smaller dose works. For context, I'm a woman, 48, and experiencing chronic insomnia for the first time in my life. I never write Amazon reviews but felt strongly about sharing this information in case it could help anyone else trapped in insomnia hell!

So far, I have been pleased with the Liquid Melatonin. I have tried many different brands tablets. First time trying a liquid form. I been retiring little over 4 years ago. I just turn 65 years old I notice my second year into retirement my sleeping has changed. I talk to my Dr. she prescribed a medication. But I Leary about taking sleeping medication. So, I realized there also side effects taking Melatonin but want does not have some kind of side effects. So, I started to take chamomile tea. and researching a safe and more effective Melatonin so I decided to try the liquid form 2.5 mg I don't like to go pass 3mg 2.5 so far is just right for me. another key sometimes when you take melatonin in the morning you feel more tired. so far this product not too bad in the morning and I take it a half hour before bedtime so far, I'm pleased my goal its not a knock of pill, but it has help me relax and get to sleep so I would give it a try and see.

I have read that when it comes to melatonin, less is more. I use just a few drops of this product at night, and it puts me right to sleep. The taste isn't anything great, but it's also not terrible and it fades from your mouth quickly so you don't keep tasting it.

This product is great, but it’s sooo hard to open! Spilled some trying to take the cap off. Please upgrade to functional bottle tops. This is the second bottle with top issues.

I had been specifically searching for "KIDS melatonin" for my 3 and 7 year olds, but I somehow missed that the directions on this one are only for ages 12 and up. Since I'd already opened it, I decided to just use it for myself instead and ordered them something else. I usually use Nature Made brand tablets of melatonin but thought maybe liquid would work faster. It's actually about the same though and doesn't really seem to take any effect until at least 30 minutes later either way. The taste is kind of nondescript berry which isn't necessarily bad, but as soon as I took the first dose, I realized right away that it has Stevia in it. Personally, I think Stevia has a weird taste that's not really enjoyable. Even though it's not "technically" an artificial sweetener, it does still taste fake to me. Just something to keep in mind if you have any issues with sugar substitutes. Overall, it's eh. I'll use it just to not waste it, but I won't buy again.
