I bought these to replace the dead factory struts on my 2010 Lexus RX350. The fit is exactly like OEM. Installation took less than five minutes with just a flathead screwdriver. They hold the heavy hood up perfectly with no sagging. This is a massive money saver compared to buying the parts at the dealership. Highly recommended.

Perfect fit and function

I have a 2014 Lexus RX350 and did not want to pay dealer price for replacement lifters for the hood. The originals no longer held it up. These did not have much in the way of packaging and limited instructions, but I was able to install them without too much hassle. They work perfectly. Update: months later, these are still working like new.

I replaced front and back struts on the RX 350. The back ones went in no problem. For the front, the connectors on the body side were hard to get to and hard to see. I had to re-park the car so I could see what I was doing to get the old clips off. When you connect the new struts, start with the bottom where it clips to the body. That part it fairly easy. The top part that connects to the hood is easy to get to, but when I connected it the clip didn't attach the whole way. It was still sticking out about a mm. It wasn't on tight. I tried several things but the only way I could get the clip to fully engage was to almost close the hood and reach in there and push hard on the connector. After opening the hood again I could see the clip was fully attached. Don't yank on the strut to "make sure" it's connected good because it might come loose. Just leave it alone and take the win.

Before I purchased these, I posted a question. After finding out the correct answer, I couldn't find a way to answer my own question. I asked if the top ball socket was angled. The correct answer is that for a strut to fit a 2015 RX 350 made in Canada, the face of the TOP ball socket (not the bottom) on the strut must have an 8 degree angle from the vertical plane of the strut itself. 8 degrees is pretty small so many people can't see it just by glancing at it. Without that angle the strut cannot fit. I had to learn this the hard way as I purchased struts from another Amazon vender that said theirs would fit. There was no angle, and they were impossible to install. Bought these because the picture showed an angle to the top socket face (got to look carefully). These DO work on a 2015 Canadian made (sold in the US) RX 350. I was surprised at how easy these went on. The originals take a little effort to take off, but these take almost no effort to snap onto the mounting balls.
