Great cane ...
This cane is great. It is easily adjustable for a range of perhaps 6 inches. My previous cane, which I misplaced, was similarly designed, but this one is more sturdy, elevates another 2", which is great for my 5'8" height, so I am actually standing more erect, which is great for my posture and less straining on my spinal cord. I bought three, one for the 2nd floor of my home, one for the 1st floor, and one for the car. Saves me dragging it around when I don't need it. I LOVE this cane. Big improvement over the wooden ones that my grandparents used to use. However, it comes in a bag with what seems to be an extra, large foot pad (4 are inserted on the base), but it is too large for the base, and doesn't fir over the light end, so I have no idea what it's intended to be put into use for. I guess I don't need it. Cane is strong, sturdy, and a helpful pleasure to use. It does fold down to an easily portable item. I highly recommend it.

Cane Excellent for Those Who are 5'2" or Shorter
I love this cane. I am 5' tall and it is one of the only canes which I could adjust low enough for my height. It is lightweight, yet sturdy. I like the light that is attached. It is good at night or when walking into a dark theater or room. It easily folds, which is a huge advantage in many instances. For example when I am seated in a restaurant, I can easily fold it either half way or 1/3 way and then lay it down under my chair or table so it is not in anybody's way. Also, it is convenient to fold when at a theater, where I can slip it under my seat. This cane has a nice wide pivoting quad base that allows the cane to stand up on its own. The base also adapts to different surfaces, which make it very practical when walking outside. The stand-alone feature allows me to make transitions when I need two hands; such as paying for a bill, or standing and looking at merchandise in a store; basically, doing anything where the use of two hands is necessary. Although, it is quite lightweight, I do have to make sure it is on sturdy ground or leaning on something so it won't topple over when I set it to stand alone. It adjusts for someone a few inches taller than I am, but I definitely recommend this cane for anyone who is 5' 2" or shorter. This cane also comes in a size range for those who are of taller stature.

Good cane. Base doesn't always help it stand up.
Overall, this is a good cane. I've been using mine for a month or more now. I appreciate that the height is adjustable. I'm tall, and the extra length helps. I appreciate that it is collapsible, and comes with the clip necessary to *keep* it collapsed. Where it literally falls down on the job: the wider base doesn't make it particularly stable when it's standing on its own. And the last time it fell over, the light in the handle broke. Not sure if I can repair it or not. First I'll need to find the lens. Which has likely rolled behind the toilet, the least accessible place in my house. Did I mention that I'm a bit mobility challenged? Also, the lens housing looks molded in, rather than something removable and replaceable, so I'd have to rely on plastic cement to fix it if I *did* find it. So it goes. The light was useful a couple of times, enough that I'll miss it. But even without it, it's a good and useful cane.

Big Al will be your new friend
This flexible cane gives me great stability! The fact that the cane allows this flexible movement in the base makes for you a natural easy movement . And the small base is not one that you might trip over as some others are. The pricing of Big Al has given me the joy of sending him as a gift to friends. And the built in light is great. I have also discouraged those dogs who like to jump up on you with a wave of Big Al. Do not hesitate to purchase. I love it!

The extra feature of a light isn’t worth it. Not very stable.
Big disappointment. The cane will not stand on carpet. It fell, and the end piece and batteries flew out, and they won’t stay in. The strap has already started to ravel. The cane I bought from CVS over three years ago has a completely intact strap: looks new. I am really disappointed.

Great Cane, Great Customer Service
Excellent cane! The light is a great addition. We had a problem with the light working correctly and since it was under warranty, the company replaces it with smiles.

Sturdy
Seems to be sturdy enough but I wish the base was wider. It's not always easy to stand up. Flashlight is a nice extra and the address tag is a good idea. Mom loves the color.
