This cable is a steal! Great value for the quality of cable you get. I can only say that for my application as I used it on a custom cable weight machine I built. I’ve shock load tested it with 550 lbs with zero stretching. (Shock loading, for those who don’t know is having the cable taut and lifting the weight off a few inches and dropping it.) I actually was hoping for a small bit of stretch to help relax the cable over a tight bend radius of my pulleys but I’ve gotten none. I know it’s rated much higher but when lifting you cannot have a failure. Excellent cable. I could have went smaller but like I said I didn’t want to risk a failure.

The roll came secured to the spool and was easier to work with than I anticipated. I had it installed to replace a broken clothesline. There were 3 other lines on the same T shaped poles. When this new cable was secure I decided to test it by pulling down on it. As I put my weight on the line the other lines sagged just as much as I pulled on the new line and i realized that there was no stretch in this cable at all, but the poles were tipping inward instead. The anchor lines for the poles were stretching, so now those lines will have to be replaced with this cable. I am impressed!

We used these to tie down our Florida carport and back awning. Nice plastic coating and easy on the hands and protects the metal from the elements.

I ordered this vinyl coated aircraft cable to replace my fifteen year old clothesline. It has been up and used almost daily since early this past spring and we're very pleased with it. It was easy to install on our existing posts and, so far, there is no noticable sagging. Great product!

This clear vinyl coated cable is perfect thickness & looks great. The quality is very good and the value cannot be beat!

I use this for making dog leashes. It's easy to work with and a great value. As others have stated, the spool had to be put back together upon arrival. Not a very durable storage device. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.

With a roll of this wire rope and a handful of rope clamps you can make custom length dog leashes and cables to lock down lawn furniture, bikes, lawnmowers, etc. I won't withstand a bolt cutter (that's how I cut it) but it will prevent most snatch and grabs.
