Does it fit a child? A 5 and 6 year old?

Unfortunately this product will be too large for a 5 or 6 year old.

Does this hair cover attach to headgear? My sons coach said it must attach to his headgear for him to wear it.

In KY this is legal bc it comes under the chin and considered 1 piece. It bypasses the “has to attach to the headgear rule.
