I installed this on a compressor connected to a Honda GX200 motor so I could track surface on both the motor and the compressor. I have been using it for about 5 months now in tropical and subtropical conditions. High heat and humidity. The display is still easy to read, but that may be because I keep it covered when not in use. Works great, easy to read. Now I can complete service without having to mentally guess how long it's been since the last service. I should probably buy these for my outboard motor and suitcase generator also. Should work on anything with a spark plug.

Product was well packaged and appears to be ruggedly build for long term use. Installation was very simple on my Wen 2000 inverter generator and the fitment was great due to the small size of the display while still being plenty big enough to read easily. I was surprised to see that there were 2 resettable hour trackers which will make it nice to view total hours and time between maintenance.

Nice, economical, compact and easy to install hourmeter. I installed on an Evinrude 50 HP outboard motor under the canopy, with two zip-ties. Easy to read even in broad daylight. 7.4 hours so far and all is good.

As described. Installed on a Simpson/Honda-GX390 pressure washer. Works great.

I bought a new boat recently with new primary and new kicker motors. I installed these so I can keep track of hours for maintenance. Installation was very simple... just wrap a few wraps around the plug wire, zip tie it off so the wraps don't unravel, and that's about it. I've checked the meters several times over the course of summer and this fall, and so far they seem to be keeping accurate count of hours on each of the motors. The only con to this item as well as many others is that the manufacturers do not make one with an easily-replaceable battery. Once the battery fails, you need to replace the unit. I'm not sure if this unit uses non-volatile memory in the event one does try to break open the case and attempt to replace the battery.

These may seem expensive but they are of a better quality than usual. In 2008 I purchased 2 hour meters (don't know the brand) and installed them on both my new Polaris 500 Scramblers.(One of them has 6 hours on it!) I can not explain it but they are still alive!!! So one day I am looking for a few hour meters and I find a cheap one around $7. I buy like 8 of them thinking this is a great deal. This was around 4,5 years ago. Not one of them is still around. I was had! They were manufactured with inferior batteries or they were very old. Either way they were shipped out of China. Hardline is engineered and assembled in the great United States of AMERICA! So buy with confidence!

While more expensive than I really wanted, these are very easy to install and do a great job. The provided wire was much longer than I needed and the instructions didn't tell me I could cut to length... I did anyway. The meter can be tape mounted or attached with screws so being on an outboard motor, I opted for the tape. It's well worth the money to accurately be able to keep track of hours for proper oil change intervals... I added 2 Yamaha engines to our fleet and it surprised me how much difference there was in three weeks of use, one had 69 hours while the other had 130! Had I been guessing, I'd have had no clue when to change the oil.

Easy to install. Great for monitoring hrs on small motors which don't have electric start.

The hour meter has two mounting options, screws or double-sided tape. I used the tape as I was mounting on the top of my generator. Install was done in under 5 minutes, most time was spend drilling a hole for my placement of the meter.
