is it only a Hazard if it gets damp or wet?

With normal use I didn’t notice a problem, you do get some particles that come off so you just need to wipe them off regularly. I live in a humid climate and after a 10 hour gaming session it almost seemed like the air was permeated with particles and the mousepad doesn’t want to stay completely flat on the surface because of the moisture and that creates a lot more friction from the mouse. Also as an update, I don’t think I’ve had any lasting health issues from using it.
