The Tree of Life

This was a great art kit and activity for my 5 year old son. The finished product turned out fantastic and is framed hanging on my wall now. The instructions were very easy to follow and my son was so proud of his finished painting. There was a lesson plan in cartoon format that he loved. The other thing i liked is that i can use the stencil over and over. There was enough materials to do multiple paintings.

The product is fine. Didn't love getting a prothelytizing message of "Jesus Saves" written on the label. You don't know who is receiving that package...

I just finished doing this one with my 6 and 8 yr olds who love art projects. Unfortunately, I found these to be a big let down given the price. The stencil is nice, but its so large its hard to keep it flat while you are painting it, but I understand its not meant to be perfect. I will keep the stencil for some future project of my own design. The "stamp" you make to add texture painted the plastic stencil, but wouldn't transfer to the paper unless the stamp was dripping with paint, and then it really didn't look like texture as much as just blotchy paint. I understand the allure of these kits is that its all ready to go, with easy instructions and a nice bit of history on the painter, but it didn't really amount to much interesting for my kids or myself. There's nothing really "wrong" with the kit, I just find it to be way overpriced for what it is.

My kids (ages 8 and 4) loved making the Tree of Life. They turned out so well that I plan on framing them and putting them in my living room. I did have to stay with them and help them do it, but that is completely fine with me! The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is because I wish that there was a little bit more educational info included. I just got some books from the library so it wasn't a huge deal but the learning part is pretty small. The kids loved that their paintings turned out like the original so it was definitely worth it!

This was just plain fun! It also happened to be educational, and the finished product was so amazing that my 7 year old gave it away as a present. I liked it because it had a fold out instruction book that gave a simple, but very interesting history of Klimt that my daughter; it was simple with very clear instructions that led to a gorgeous picture, and it was finished in about an hour. What more could you ask for in a craft/art/educational activity?I highly recommend this. Don't be dismayed or disappointed when you open the fancy box and see the very simple components. Just try it. It's well worth the money.

Definitely a good project to work with your child, but the price is too steep! $15 would be about right!

I purchased this Master Kitz for my 6 year old nephew who already has the "Starry Night" Master Kitz and loved that one. He sent me a beautiful "Starry Night" painting for my birthday so when he asked for this kit for his recent birthday I was thrilled to purchase it for him. The directions and templates are easy to follow and the results are really awesome! I highly recommend these Master Kitz for anyone who has children or grandchildren who enjoy doing creative art projects.

I received the Master Kitz The Tree of Life today and my 9 year old daughter jumped right into her new art project. The packaging was a nice sturdy decorative box, and the contents inside were simple but of good quality. I helped my daughter read the instructions and get started, but she could have done this step on her own as everything was clearly written for children over the age of 8 or so. Set-up was simple. In about an hour, my daughter made a beautiful picture that could be framed and hung on a wall. She did not like how the stickers looked on the finished product, so that is why we are only giving this 4 stars. I will buy this product to give as gifts for my daughter's friends' birthday parties, and I like the fact there are other art projects in the same series for my daughter to try. I received this product free of charge.
