Dekoni Audio Elite Fenestrated Sheepskin

I purchased these Dekoni pads to replace the poor quality stock pads on my HiFiMan Sundara. I found the stock pads to be kind of uncomfortable, probably because I have become spoiled by wearing my LCD-2 with those luscious Audeze pads which are like cushions for the ears. I also wanted to try out the fenestrated pads so that I could find out if they were any cooler. I've changed pads before on my HD-600's but always with the genuine Sennheiser pads of the same type which came with them brand new so this my first experience with making any change in type of pads. So what do I think of these? Well, the first thing I noticed is that they do in fact come with the necessary mounting rings which is fabulous should you have a broken one or if you've lost them. That saves you $10. Secondly, the materials used in these pads are superior in every way to those used in the stock pads. The stock pads had some cheap blue crappy foam inside whatever cheap exterior material they used. The Dekoni pads feel better on the ears. The foam is thicker, more dense and when compressed springs back nicely. Aesthetically they just give the Sundara a much more premium look. I like that fact because they really are an outstanding pair of headphones. Were they difficult to put on? Not at all, in fact I had them on within 5 minutes. Of course I had removed the stock pads before receiving the Dekoni pads but it was real simple. I got the first cup reattached on the first attempt just using my hands but had to slide a credit card under the pad in order to get the fourth clip to attach underneath. And so how do they sound? I think they sound outstanding. I don't notice any major change in the overall sound, if anything at all I think I'm picking up a bit wider sound stage, maybe because of the pads being a bit deeper than the stock pads. The bass doesn't seem to have changed , of course this headphone doesn't offer a ton of punch and slam. My LCD-2 do a much better job of that. I'm not afraid to EQ a bit so I'll be looking into that as I get more familiar with these. It's true that these pads are a bit pricey, at least it is in my view. A lot of pads are expensive. Some of the Focal pads are $100-200, Audeze can run close to $100. I think it's worth it if you plan to keep your headphones, and I think you get what you pay for. I may try another variety one of these days but am very much pleased with these so far. Highly recommend!

These ear pads are a dream come true. They check all the boxes i was looking for. Extremely comfortable? check! Help keep the build up of heat around my ears to a minimum? Check! fit perfectly and easy to install? Check and Check! As for changes to sound quality due to the earphones. I personally could not notice a difference in the sound between these and the original hybrid style the Sundara come with. It is possible that with the down time to change out the ear pads (a little under 5 minutes the first time to remove the old and get the new ones installed) that it throws off what i think i hear. I could probably do some tests with one ear pad on each to see if i can tell a difference but frankly ... i dont care that much. They sound fantastic, they feel fantastic, and that's all I could ask fro in a new set of ear pads.

These are comfortable, they fit Hifiman Sundaras, and were simple to install. They seem to be of decent quality... exactly what I expected.

Massive quality upgrade over the stock pads, although the pair I received had a silly quality issue. Since one side of the pad is thicker than the other side, ideally both pads would have their thickest and thinnest points aligned, and the stitch would be in the same spot on both pads. Mine are off from each other by almost 1/8th a rotation. For such an expensive pad, that’s pretty disappointing.

Photo shows Sundara stock pad on left and this replacement (fenestrated) on right. Much more comfortable. Before Sundaras gave me a headache. When one stock pad started tearing I bought these replacements. I was able to get one pad on quickly but the second pad was so difficult that I wound up replacing the inner ring with the plastic ring from the original pads and was able to install much more quickly! So I guess the ring quality is a bit more robust on the stock pads? Or just luck. Sounds same if not better.

The stock pads that came with my HiFiMan Sundaras were falling a part so I needed some replacements. I decided to pass on the cheap pads and go for the Dekoni's because I wanted ones that would last. These did not disappoint. Very well built and they definitely improve the sound.

Just a nice cosmetic upgrade. I did’t really A/B the pads because I didn’t want to put too much strain on them. However, I don’t notice any obvious differences between the stock and Dekoni pads. Super comfy but I did have to go up another notch on the headband to get the same fit.

I've been buying Dekoni products for a while, mostly Dekoni Bullets for my IEMs, and this is my first time buying replacement pads from them. I shared some before and after pics, but as you can see these saved my Hifiman Sundaras from getting binned. These are so comfortable and sturdy now, and I don't have little scraps of leather falling all over the place. I will say that these shifted the tone on my headphones from the original sound. The new tone is a bit warmer now and more vocal forward with a slight pull back on the bass, but they still have the same bass response I love from the Sundaras. I did have look at different installation videos. While it's not that difficult, I will say it's much easier if you slip a credit card into the pad's clip and attempt to clip it in that way for the last 2 clips (first two clips should be a breeze). Really great purchase, thank you Dekoni!

Is short: This is what Hifiman Sundara should come with from the factory. These are amazing in every sense of the word. Not too soft, not too hard. Much more breathable and comfortable than the once that come with the headphones out-of-the-box. I don't really notice any real difference in sound between these and the original pads, which is great. 13/10 would recommend! Hifiman should include Dekoni replacement pads in every purchase of all their headphones that Dekoni makes replacement pads for, they really are that great.

Installation is a bit tricky but once you get them on they're super comfy. I can listen to my Sundara for hours on end and not feel any discomfort. Something I couldn't do with the OEM pads.

E' il secondo paio di cuscinetti per Hifiman serie HE in pelle forata che acquisto. Sono comodi, belli da vedere e fatti bene. La pelle è di ottima qualità e l'imnbottitura anche. Se modificano il timbro o la curva sonora delle cuffie, come risulterebbe da misurazioni strumentali oggettive, io tuttavia non me ne sono accordo.

Come Dekoni ci ha abituato, la qualità è eccezionale
