These are fine for the price, but, I feel I only got exactly what I paid for. They have a very cheap feel, and are not something I'd want to remove or install regularly, and I definitely would not wan to expose these to the sun for any extended period.Please note that these are ABS, so you want to be careful about solvents if you are installing them with a sealant. I know from experience that just a little acetone on a rag will dissolve/damage these incredibly fast.As inspection ports on the *inside* of a boat, or on a kayak that is kept out of the sun 99% of the time, these are fine. I would not want to try them for any other use.FYI:. An M4 screw seemed to fit much better than M5 or M3.

These are great, easy to install, and really functional. If you are doing a quality build and care about how your things look do not buy. they place the product ID sticker on the front side of the cover. All solvents, carefully scraping, soaking left either the sticker residue, or the typical goo-gone solvents actually softened and dulled the plastics.MANUFACTURING NOTE!!! put the sticker on the BACK side of the product...Problem solved.

Installed two, fore and aft, on a 1976 Windflite (Sunfish Clone) sailboat to assist in drying interior buoyancy material. They were easy to install and look nice on the boat. They didn't come with mounting hardware which was OK since I planned on using stainless steel machine screws and nylon captive nuts. All in all they are very good for access, but if you need storage best get one with a "cat bag".
