Perfect, and a pleasure to use. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
My ski helmet came with wired headphones already installed in the ear flaps, but since my latest iPhone didn't have a headphone jack, I simply got fed up with using the Lightning port adapter and decided to purchase these Outdoor Tech Bluetooth headphones. After opening the seam on the ear flaps and removing the old wired headphones, I was able to easily install these audio chips. My wife then re-sewed the seam, leaving a small gap so that I could plug in the charging cable. I have now used these headphones at least once a week for an entire ski season and am extremely happy with my purchase. The sound quality is very good and definitely loud enough. The battery seems to last forever (certainly through an entire day on the slopes). And controlling the headphones is easy once you memorize the various tap sequences to adjust the volume, advance to the next track, answer a phone call, etc. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Worth it!
These are so worth it. The sound quality is great, they are really easy to use, and the battery lasts a solid 3 days of riding. It’s so nice to not deal with cords and phone all the time. The walkie talkie part worked on the app when we were setting them up, but we don’t even use that feature when we’re riding so don’t let that shy you away from buying these because of all the bad reviews about the walkie talkie part!

Great idea, execution still needs work.
Just got these and have spent two days skiing with them. They have a tendency to drop the signal, also the left ear button does not work sometimes and requires multiple attempts for the commands to work properly. Great design and good volume/clarity balance for the intended purpose. Just wish they functioned as advertised.

Very tinny sound, no depth, others on market are better
I did want to like these, I own Smith helmets and Smith goggles and really love them for their excellence and quality. These headphones, however, are a complete disappointment. First of all, they are very difficult to pair to an Android device, I kept on getting errors that an app is needed to pair it to my phone, although the instruction manual doesn't say anything about an app, and an app does not exist in the Google Play store.I wrote the tech support email address listed in the instructions, just to get a bounce back that the address doesn't exist. That in and of itself does not bode well for the company.I finally figured out that there are two entries for connecting, one with a computer icon, and the other one with a media icon. The media icon didn't pop up at first, but when it does, you can connect to it that way with no issue. However, once connected, I noticed that out of the three different helmet headphones that I've tried, these are by far the most tinny and have no depth to the sound. I'm a little bit of an audiophile, And trust me when I say there are none on the market that fit into a helmet that really produce pure deep sound. Unfortunately though, these are so bad that for the couple minutes I was testing them, it literally gave me a headache to keep listening. If you want a higher quality sound, try the Unigear Bombing. Out of the three that I have tested, they are the best sounding chips, followed closely by the Wildhorn Alta. The Outdoor Tech, however, is no where close. These will be returned immediately.

Best head phones for ski/snowboard helmet
These smith blue tooth speakers are awesome for any skier/snowboarder. Easy to use with gloves, easy to answer a call(hate that) and the music plays flawlessly. This is a must have for anyone riding down the mountain

These are so good! Only prob is someone calling in middle of a run and killing vibe. Need to remember to put don't disturb on the phone. So easy to operate, connect easily and found quality good. Agree with other reviews that charging port could be more conveniently located but that's being picky.

Great for a day on the hill
Easy to control without taking your gloves off. Good sound quality and battery easily lasted through 4 full days of skiing.

Sound Quality Intolerable
If audio quality is a priority, look elsewhere. I don't expect SQ to be impressive from bluetooth, in-helmet devices. However, for the money, IMHO, the sound is too grainy and thin to enjoy even when the primary focus is on the mountainous terrain ahead. I did not experience any connectivity issues that others have. I found the interface with the large buttons convenient and effective, if not intuitive. Going to stick with my Koss Porta Pros wireless, even if it means removing a glove to control power and volume functions.
