25ft - 1/2 inch PET Expandable Braided Sleeving – Black – Alex Tech Braided Cable Sleeve

I used it for microphone cable to provide additional insulation and strength to an XLR cable. The sleeve enables the cable to also keep its coil and twist that ultimately improves the life and performance of the cable. Ive used it with cables of both 5 and 10m long. The longer the cable the more benefit the sleeve gives to it. Mine was used with Van Damme XKE terminated with either high quality Neutrik or Nanotech connectors.

You need a bit of patience using this braid,but ok though.

It was easy to push the wire through as it expands to quite a large size and offers a measure of protection to your wiring

This braided line makes cable management a breeze, not to mention that it looks cool as anything. Loads in a roll and is good quality.Had a lot of fun organising cables for my amp :)

I needed split sleeve because this won't fit over UK plugs. My fault entirely because it is clear on the description that this is not split. As it suggests you will need a hot knife too because unravels if you cut with normal scissors and don't seal the ends.

Made my wiring loom I was making in my car look a lot more presentable. Get plenty of it for the money, I made a whole loom for my aftermarket gauges with it with plenty spare. After you snip it tho a little tip just burn the ends you snipped to stop it fraying.

This stuff is possibly the best way to cover bundles of electrical wire or anything that still has at least one end available to push it on to. I love this stuff. It takes a few moment to get the hang of using it but once that is figured out it almost flows over the wires or cables that you are using it on. I used to to cover and protect a wiring harness for a skid steer I was re-wiring. It is not as tough as the hard plastic split wire loom stuff but it serve my purposes perfectly. Highly recommended.

Product as described

After reading an article in Fine Woodworking Magazine where the author had used this exact product to reduce damage to his vacuum hoses. I decided to give it a try. It works better than I could have hoped. The hoses it covers are from an old Kirby Vac and a Nilfisk vac. There is no significant catching on the back edge of track saw tracks and with a small nylon plate I had made up there is zero catching. I also use this on a dedicated Hegner finger joint machine. I believe the only reason this is not fitted to all industrial hoses is that it would limit the sale of spare parts hoses. All the best.
